Holiday Inn Express Fallon, an IHG Hotel

Love this place! It’s a good halfway spot when driving from Idaho to California to visit family.

Our stay started with terrible front desk service specifically from a male with bad attitude and a lack of care of his job (or any of the guests) We had called and set up an early check in a week before and we’re told to come in at 2. We ended up not being able to get into our room until 430. That’s just the beginning. The room had missing light bulbs in lamps, dirty pillowcase, hairs in the tub and musty smell. We made arrangements to be able to travel with a young child and this unprofessional treatment has made this trip the worst we have had.

The first morning I called for a room cleaning to the front desk at 10a When we came back after 5 hours, the cleaning staff was gone and my room was as I left it. Called the front desk and all they could do was bring up additional towels. The second night I stayed I was up late and I got woke up by the maids yelling maid service all down the hall. We have stayed there before but will not be going back there or have any of my family and friends stay there

Over booked . Had to stay in my car with my family .

Young man at front desk was terrible! I waited for almost 10 minutes trying to check in, calling the hotel while i was standing in the lobby. This kid was Not friendly, had his ear bud in and phone in his hand everytime we had to interact. My room key did not work correctly and had to be fixed twice. We also asked for towels to use after the hot tub and the kid never put his phone down and almoat walked into the door way because of it.

I'll start with check-in. Check-in is 3pm. We showed up at 3:30pm and were told no rooms were ready until 4pm. The lobby was full of people waiting for their room. Next the staff. There were High School kids working the front desk with no customer service experience and didn't know how to welcome people. They should be the ones to initiate the conversation when you approach the counter. They are the first impression of the company and if we could have canceled our room, we would have gone elsewhere. After getting our key, we were heading to the elevator and there was staff on the elevator talking loud and cussing like we weren't there and no regard for our 7yr old daughter. We visit Fallon a lot and will most likely not stay at this motel again.

Holiday Inn Express is my go to when traveling with family. They tend to be nice and very consistent on what to expect. This one fell short, from un-attentive staff, cleanliness, room temps/control to the breakfast. None of it was great!
