great! slept like a baby!

On a family road trip we booked the Microtel based on it's high ratings. We don't expect much from a basic quick hotel stop but I guess the high ratings really confused me when it did not align with our experience. We got in very late and needed to get the kids to bed super quick but it took twenty minutes to check in!! It should have taken 3-5 minutes, we were all booked and everything but the lady at the desk was super slow with the lady in front of me and with me! The room seemed updated which was very nice. Unfortunately the bed seemed to be closer to double size than queen size, bedding was scratchy, and mattress was too firm. The bathroom was tiny and the new faucets aren't long enough to wash your hands so the water pours off the side of the pedestal style sink. When my kids and teens went to breakfast the manager went and told the ones not wearing shoes that they had to wear shoes to eat. I guess that's reasonable but I think wearing socks when you just get up is normal and letting them wear socks would be more hospitable. Breakfast was very basic with lots of carbs. Thankful they had a breakfast, though. Next time through Kearney we will definitely pick a different hotel.

i travel through Kearney at least 4 times a year going from Colorado to Michigan and back. This was my first time staying at the Microtel in Kearney. What a lovely experience. Despite being in the middle of a renovation, the facility was clean and definitely upgraded. From the time I checked in until I left my key at the desk checking out, the staff members were friendly, courteous, and made me feel like I was a family member coming home for a visit. Superb! The room was very nicely decorated, clean, and everything appeared new. My only complaint, and it is really a personal thing, I wasn't real happy with the placement of the bath towels on the little shelf beneath the sink. It wasn't convenient to get to before or after taking a shower. There were a couple of hooks to hang them on close to the bathtub but again, lots of water dripping off you when you reached out to get one. Other than that, I loved my stay and will definitely recommend this place to family and friends and will return in the future. Thank you for a good night's rest.

Easy check in process, and clean room. It was all I needed for my family and I. It was a great experience all around.

I dont know how this hotel had such great reviews- my guess is the good ones are posted more than negative- because this place is not amazing like rated! First- i paid $117 for a room that is now posted for $88, the A/C is set to 60 and it legit feels like its 70-75in this room, the bathroom has mold around the outside of the shower and the shower itself is not super clean, there is a tiny little janky "stand" as your counter space. I stayed at the Country Inn and suites 6 months ago which is next door, for $80 a night and it was 10 times better then this place. The pictures they post to show the rooms are extremely deceiving, the rooms are dark and super outdated! I come to Kearney often for work and my kid will be goong to school here soon so we will travel here even more and i definitely will not stay here again

A tidy off-highway hotel. We are Kearney locals and stayed for a "staycation" away from the kids.

Advertised as 2 queens and was only doubles. Very sleepless night between that and the baby next door. Tiny room and paper thin walks
