The front desk agent was extremely pleasant and helpful upon check-in. That was about the best of our hotel stay. We checked in around 8 pm; we had reservations at a different hotel, but their pool was closed for cleaning, on NYE of ALL NIGHTS (huge inconvenience), so we had to hurry and book a room somewhere and ended up here. The rooms were old and outdated; definitely not worth $200 . The pool went to 7 ft so my kids loved that, but it was super cold, and the seating area around the pool was literally infested with roaches. It was disgusting. There was a trash bag that sat outside the elevator door on our floor, the entire time along with the vacuum at the end of our hallway. The lobby area was nice and large perfect for gathering before you headed out or in. Would I stay here again probably not.

I booked on line after leaving another hotel don the road that I had booked for myself and 3 kids to go swimming and shorten our drive to a soccer tournament the following day. Your website didn't no disclose that the pool was shutdown until I arrived and so immediately checked out after I offered an insulting discount of $20 (i was still billed for this room even though I didn't stay because the room wasn't "as advertised". After I arrived at the Double Tree I was told that they had no rooms available even thought the website said that they did allowed me to book. All at once there was one available. I got my keys and went to the room with my 3 young kids who just wanted to swim and the door wouldn't open. SO proceeded to sit in the hallway for 2 hours waiting for maintenance to come helps us, all the while several people (other guests) walked by and told us that they had checked out of the room due to damage and keys not working. We finally got in the room and there was holes in walls and stains that appeared to be blood all over the carpet. By this time it was nearly midnight, I had no where else to go and my kids didn't get a chance to swim because of how late we got into our room. I deserve and expect a refund for both rooms as well as a credit for future use on the Expedia website. Hands down the worst travel experience of my life. And then you charge me for it. WOW.

There were a few problems in our room—last guests food was in our fridge, no toilet paper—but beds were comfortable, parking was free, and breakfast was great. And the staff (bar staff and breakfast staff) were so lovely. If this had been it, I would have said it was a fine if not stellar hotel. But. For families—the pool was TERRIBLE. they have covered over the hot tub (so photos are out of date), and the pool was disgusting. They told us they were cleaning it when we got there, but don’t think that happened. The water was murky, the pool area smelled musty and the roof was dripping, and there was no chlorine smell. I am pretty low maintenance when it comes to water, and will swim in just about anything, but I wanted nothing to do with this water. We only stayed at this hotel because of the pool, and were very disappointed.

We went down to St. Louis for the weekend, primarily for the U2 concert but also to visit the National Park sites in the area. We probably waited too long to get a hotel, and had to settle for one out in the burbs. This was a very nice hotel, and conveniently located by I-270. It seemed like a very busy weekend at the hotel with what appeared to be baseball teams and family reunions. My only complaint is that there were often long lines and long waits to get an elevator. There are only three elevators and they seemed kind of slow to begin with, but when you add all the people they really back up. Everything else was good though.

We didn’t get our double rooms. And between us and the kids we couldn’t fit in the 3 beds. We were supposed to have 4. T he room walls had holes and cracks in them, the bed side tables were broken. Tv worked off and on. Refrigerator wasn’t working. We couldn’t find another hotel last minute or we wemouldnt have stayed. You have to pay for breakfast. Pool and workout area was the best thing on property. I would not recommend

Checkin  was a nightmare. I was with my family when they checked in on Thursday & discussed with the desk clerk Steve that my young children will be staying in the hotel without me on Saturday night, the night of my wedding. He assured me that they could check in with my father, brother or sister since the room was already paid for & they were already in the hotel. Well that did not happen. The hotel would only allow me to checkin my children. Only after some fighting and my brother taking my credit card and license did they let my kids check in. Unnecessary stress on a wedding night that could have easily been avoided. Sometimes corporate rules need to be bent. This hotel management team doesn't understand that customer service comes first. Oh and the prices of the food in the hotel were abusive. We have removed this hotel from our places to stay.
