SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Kearney Liberty North

Updated and very clean. A good find when visiting family in the area.

After reading many reviews, it appeared this hotel was a decent place to stay. Upon arrival the desk clerk was pleasant. My first negative was when I saw a sign on the front desk that stated the pool was closed. I had seen this same issue in a previous review from early June. Many people chose a hotel for that amenity, especially if you are traveling with children. Again, the pool has yet to be repaired and there is no indication of this when booking. Their website needs to be updated clearly stating it is not available. The second negative was that there is no elevator. For a family with many bags and kids, this would have been challenging. The room was clean and the bed was decent. The third, and most disappointing negative was the breakfast. I read many reviews where management states they will address their issues with staff, and yet there seemed to be zero change in that direction. When we arrived we were the only ones there and there was a full hour to go before it ended. There were donut hole size muffins, no pastries. A container had some sausage patties and ONE biscuit to go with the gravy. The coffee was good. A staff member arrived after several other families showed up. She looked and saw that there were no biscuits. She wiped some counters and never restocked a single item. Very disappointed. Breakfast is an amenity that dictates if we book with that hotel. It does not appear they take their reviews seriously. Unlikely to stay here again.

I booked this hotel specifically for the outdoor pool. Because I had my kiddo with and it was going to 90 degrees during I stay. However, upon arrival there was a sign stating pool closed. I wish this info would have been on website or mentioned when I called the hotel. Keep in mind I booked only 2 days in advance and pool was already closed at that time.

We enjoyed our stay. The only downfall to the stay was the swimming pool being out of order. My kids had their hopes up to swim.

No Elevator. We were on the second floor, heard everyone coming up or down, and carrying luggage for 6 and a baby up was a pain. Felt like bugs were crawling on us during our stay even though we didn’t see anything. Staff was great. Breakfast yummy. However overall stay, even though we were only there 9ish hours. 3/10

What a gem of a hotel. Don’t let the outside of the hotel fool you the rooms are clean and updated. I was so pleasantly surprised by the modern looking rooms. And so clean!!! We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. There were hot and cold choices. Everyone in my family found something to eat. Lastly, the front desk staff and breakfast room attendant were so friendly and helpful. This will definitely be our place to stay when we visit Kansas City in the future.

Perfect for what we needed! Baseball team stayed for 5 days & the staff was awesome. Very accommodating and understanding as we had a l out of younger kiddos. Outdoor pool was great. Some of our rooms were pretty humid & some had dehumidifiers. Having different entry might help. Overall was great & would stay again. Breakfast would be nice to be something different on weekends, wasn’t much but enough for what needed for. No space to really “gather” would be only thing wish they had. Smaller hotel in nice & safe area though. Plenty to eat around & shop.
