I always stay at MyPlace whenever I'm in KC, or Overland Park, Ks. Very consistent quality, comfort, cleanliness. However, this particular visit the facility was full, and I was lucky enough to have a family of Clydesdales above me that didn't stop the ruckus until the wee hours of the morning...even after management paid them a visit. I checked out earlier than planned. But I really do appreciate the staff's effort to make it better!!

The reviews on the website have to be fake. It’s def not an 8.2 out of 10. I would give it a 3 out of 10. Trash was left in garbage from previous occupants. Shower was dirty had to clean out before using and the shower wouldn’t drain so you basically had to take a shower with filled water in the tub that drained very slowly. Has a stove and nothing to cook in. I went downstairs to ask for some plastic forks and got the strangest look like I asked for a kidney or something. Whole place gave a creepy vibe. I couldn’t even sleep. Probably the worst hotel I stayed at during my whole trip. Hopefully people will be able to find the real reviews and run away fast from this place lol

We always try and stay at My Place when we can. I love the full sized refrigerator. We travel with family for out of town softball tournaments - it's great to be able to bring our own food and beverages and keep them cold. The ice maker is also a plus!

I have family in the KC area so I’ve stayed at many hotels nearby. This was one of my least favorites. I will not be back.

We stayed in the grand villa 1 bedroom. It was great! We had a plumbing issue & an issue with the couch bed but Roger was super quick to come handle the maintenance and was very friendly. Two downfalls: There is no dining options on the property but there is a to-go style cafe. The other is the pool shut downs. Nobody told us why other than all pools were shut down and it just happened to be on the last day which after going all week, we just wanted a down day at the pool but that didnt happen. It stormed 2.5 days of our visit but the room was clean & cozy & the screened in porch let us sit outside bug free while watching the storm. Overall we'd stay here again as the property was great but if youre looking for something with any form of adult time (e.g. dining, drinks etc) you'll have to go off-site for those items. People were friendly & we spent our last night around the beautiful firepit area with the maintenance man Roger joining us for a few moments & enjoyed talking with him. Great for families (we have 2 14 yr olds).

Had to be evacuated for gas leak with two disabled children, one completely immobile and with autism. He was scared and we had to leave because he was terrified. I asked to check out and they refused to even take my key or check me out. Now charged me additional times.

STAY CLEAR OF HERE! The first time we stayed here our room wasn’t even clean fully. I had already booked Two different weekends for wrestling tournaments. I figured it was a mistake the first time that the room wasn’t fully clean. This past weekend we arrived and I checked the room. As soon as I opened the door all you could smell was dirty dog. The hallway smelled like weed. I went to the front desk to ask if they had another room which they didn’t. I then then tell the woman working about the condition of the room and there being dog hair on the bedding etc. her response was oh well d*** all the cleaning people are gone for the day. She wouldn’t even give me bedding to change it myself. Luckily between my kids bringing their blankets we had enough to not use their nasty blankets. Expedia wouldn’t refund me my money for the stay and the woman working was BEYOND RUDE. The next day we got back from wrestling and we needed new towels. The lady working stated she needed the dirty ones before she could give me new ones. I go to get them and was back to the desk within 3 minute. I then waited 10 mins for her to come to the desk to help me because “ she needed a break because they had so many checkouts that day”. STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE! Dirty rooms and hotel smelled liked weed all weekend. Horrible staff on top of all that. We’ve stayed at the same brand hotel in Overland Park so if you don’t mind the 15-20 mins drive save yourself the trouble and just book there.

In october 2022 we booked 6 weekend stays for nov-april and specifically booked certain styles of rooms based on what staff told us was needed in order to ensure we had conjoined rooms since i would be traveling with 4 to 7 kids and only 1 adult was guaranteed to be in attendance (me) but a small chance of a 2nd adult. November our rooms were on the same floor but complete opposites ends of the hall. We spoke with staff to add note to next booking requesting the conjoined room, she assured us she would add the note. December they were diagonal across the hall from each other. We asked her to review the booking as we asked for a note on this to be added. No note found. So we stood there while she added a note to our next booking and assured us it would be taken care of. January, today, they assigned us a 3rd floor west hall mid end room and a 2nd floor east hall far end room, we told them that was not acceptable and that we even made sure the note was on there from december and she said yes i see it but i dont assign the rooms and dont have a conjoined room available but i can put you on the same floor at least. We have bookings for feb, march & april that we will be canceling and moving to a new hotel because I can not put multiple kids (6 to 14 yrs) in a room without an adult and feel safe, they wont allow us to all be in one room, and I do not always have a 2nd adult to accompany. We have not gotten a discount, refund or any type of anything for this issue.

Unplanned family trip to attend a funeral service. The place was nice but has to keep going to the desk for towels and tissue

it was clean in the rooms. The beds were too fluffy. if you need a firmer mattress your back will hurt. I had to go to hotel staff about a few dogs in the room above barking incessantly for 45 mins. she took care of it. The owners were in the room and allowed the dogs to bark like that! Then about 1 he later they allowed their children to run back and forth screaming and you could hear the dogs chasing them. VERY rude. This was around 11 pm and went on for hours. I love animals and have a dog and children but I would never allow either to behave like that. just shows how some people have no courtsey towards others. I will be looking for no pets allowed hotels from now on because of this experience.
