La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Columbus MS

Our family has traveled from Georgia and stayed in this particular hotel a couple of times even though we were visiting another city which is 30 minutes away. We didn't have many issues on our prior visits, not to say we didn't have any at all but, this time took the cake. We came for a relatives funeral and stayed here. When we first pulled up, there was lack of parking, we had to park in the parking lot at the next building over, the desk attendant didn't seem friendly, we had stained wash towels, no shower caps provided in the bathroom, and the breakfast situation was the worst...there was no coffee, no hot water for tea/oatmeal, and the food was scarce. There was an attendant there, but she was moving too slow for the amount of people that needed to be served. The restock of food was very slow on her end, food went very quickly, or it was cold and we were there EARLY! It was so bad that we didn't even try for breakfast anymore on the followings days.

The rooms here are always super clean even when you are traveling with your fur baby. Unlike some hotels you know you’re staying in a room assigned to fur babies owners.

My husband and my baby were all bitten by insects. My husband and I have them on our arms and bodies. My baby is on the fingers and the back of her hand. She is only five months old. She likes to put her hands in her mouth, so I dare not apply medicine to her hands. This is a very bad living experience.

This hotel was very accessible to the highway, which allowed us to easily travel to friends and family in the area. We also found local attractions to explore, as well as places to walk (a Riverwalk and bike path) and shop.

It was my family reunion and we loved our choice to stay there.Staff was friendly and very nice .No one complained about any of the rooms we had or the service.Breakfast was great every morning .

The first day/night was great nice and quiet. However, I can say the same for the following night. We had a 9 hrs driver so the family went to bed at 9pm to get up 4am. A loud sound from the room(122) next door woke us up. Its sounded like a fire alarm / alarm clock. We Reported it to the front desk, we were told the sound could not be turn off. So the alarm/sound was on all night, we left 455am and the alarm sound was still on. We had a terrible night, very little rest. I have a headache from the lack of sleep, and my wife is tired. Bad experience.

We really enjoyed our stay. We were in town visiting family. The staff was extremely friendly! I would stay here again.

We were unexpectedly in need of this stay as a result of car trouble while traveling to a family member’s college graduation. This oasis was value priced and the staff and accommodations were fabulous.

I can’t say enough about the breakfast, hostess, Tremaine. She made us feel like family and you can tell she definitely values her position at La Quinta.

The blonde karen at the front desk was so rude. I tried checking in at 2:45 but she snapped at me that check in was at 3. I was like oh okay, there’s nothing available now? (The parking lot had like 3 cars in it) and she said nothing was clean. When we came back 15 minutes later, her shift was over and we were checked in by a different employee and she was leaving for the day. So I feel like she just didn’t want to do anymore work in her last 15 minutes. I also requested a room on the ground floor or near the elevators and she refused saying she already assigned rooms. I’ve worked front desk in hotels for years, she easily could have moved me, or at least tried. But once again, she was leaving so she didn’t want to do anything extra. Now the room. Everything was mediocre, the tv and remote were old, there was not even a guide. However, at 3 am, I got up to go to the restroom and there were several ROACHES!!!! One was a baby which means there are more somewhere. We left after seeing those, we packed up and left and slept in our car at our next destination because we were so grossed out!!
