Hyatt Place Minneapolis Downtown

The hotel was conveniently located. We had reserved a king and they were out of king rooms when we arrived. It was a bit confusing navigating the dual elevators and there was a lack of luggage carts. Our room also had a couple of suspicious wet spots on the carpet. The pool/hot tub area was nice and it they had 2 hot tubs, so we could avoid the one full of children. Breakfast was decent and the coffee was good.

The rooms are so spacious and comfortable. We were there with four family members, plus my husband and myself. We had lots of room for visiting back and forth on comfortable furniture. The breakfast was outstanding. There was something for everyone to enjoy.

The property is outdated and the carpets need a serious deep cleaning. Blinds are old and the pulleys are rusted, making it hard to pull up/down. Parking is 30/night which is pretty high in my opinion. Breakfast was decent. It wouldn’t be my first choice again but I needed a two bedroom suit to fit my family and this was the only hotel in the area that had one.

I wish we had been told the pool was undergoing maintenance. We have children who wanted to swim and we would have picked another hotel

First off make sure to save $35 a night for parking Its not included in price of room! My room was Discusting. The windows were full of bird phiseas, hard to see out of and when you get high floor city view suite your surrounded by building within 10 feet (city view). The room had food on wall with bugies and finger prints on everything so was not cleaned thoroughly. I asked for refund but was told the could upgrade me to a king sweet and send a cleaning person to make sure it's clean! To our surprise at 11pm after all day at hospital for my very sick dad got Uber to hotel asked front desk where our new room was located they say you are in the same room! So was lied too and room was not even cleaned and 2 hot tubs shown are shut down for unexpected time will never stay here again don't trust the 8.6 stars reviews from the locals and there kids free rooms to give a great review is what another guest says happens hope you have a better stay somewhere better then this I would give it a 3 about as good as a super 8 hotel you have been warned ⚠️

The Hyatt was a gem! It was a modern, clean hotel with free breakfast and a nice pool room with two hot tubs! The room was huge and was perfect for our family of four. We would definitely stay again!

Very spacious for a family of 5.

Everything was great! The one thing that needs attention is the pool, we took our kids to swim in the hotel pool but had to leave because it had way to much clorine. We all started coughing and our eyes where burning. Other then that the stay was nice.

Room size was perfect for families. They had cribs available.

First off, we stayed because we went to monster jam with our 4 and 5 year old. Unfortunately, the hotel was full of pretty much naked rave women everywhere so bringing our young children out of our room or to the pool was not an option. Many young women not wearing any pants or underwear even most had see though shirts and when we confronted the front desk about it they said “ there’s not much we can do” well maybe enforce a clothing policy! Also, the rooms don’t have microwaves which wasn't a huge deal but we couldn’t warm up our left overs unless we went downstairs and our fridge was disgusting on the inside. Lastly, our heat was stuck on, we set the thermostat to 60 yet the room stayed in the high 70s the best the hotel could do was provide 6 people with 1 box fan. Sadly, next year I won’t be staying here again. Very poor additive from staff about our situations.
