Homewood Suites by Hilton St Louis Park at West End

Nice location and relatively clean. Pool was a little cold and there is no sound dampening so with a few families in there, it’s almost deafening. Breakfast selection was great!

Our stay with Homewood was a saga. It started from checkout when the first room we checked into had a really loud whirling sound from one of the heaters. The other heater was fine, but they were on the same thermostat so it was impossiilbe to turn the bad one off and keep the other one on. They got us another room, in which the heater did not work! It was blowing out cold air! So, then the hotel attendant, who was very nice, got us another room, upgraded, that had everything in working order. This room was very nice, the workout room was great for us, the free breakfast was lackluster, sorry, I guess I have high food standards, but upon coming back to the hotel on our second night around 10-1030pm, we discovered that our room was directly over the hotel pool. We had not noticed before as we were out doing things, but we definitely noticed this time, the sounds from the pool were echoing into our room from below...I don't think the walls in our room have much for insulation and the ceiling in the pool area must not have much either. So, upon going down to the hotel front desk to let them know about the noise and ask why the pool is open so late (11PM!), we were met with disdain from the concierge. She recommended we move rooms at 1030 at night! She said the children that were in the pool making the noise had just checked in that day and were staying for multiple days. We try to stay at Homewood Suites whenever possible. The room layouts work great for our family and we needed a place to call home for several days. Rooms were clean and quiet. Breakfast was great for our family. The pool was a lot of fun for the kids but got very echoey and loud. The staff were amazing and we will be coming back for sure.

Closet door was off top rollers, was afraid it would fall so had the kids stay away from closet. Room was clean and comfortable. Spacious bathroom for a handicap room.
