Residence Inn by Marriott Minneapolis Edina

A safe and quiet location approximately a 10-minute drive to MOA and 4 minutes to a Target. The room we got was at the end so it had two exterior facing windows which had lots of natural light which was nice! The hotel is a bit dated so sofa and beds are probably at the end of its life and need to be replaced. The suite also had that noticeable old carpet smell. It was unusual that it did not have a garbage can in the washroom. The dishwasher was not secured properly and kept moving sideways and outwards. The AC/heating unit has an exposed wiring at the bottom that could potentially be a safety issue if kids get under it. Like what others have said on their reviews, if you don’t ask about parking then it will come as an unpleasant surprise come check-out as you will be charged 5$ a night. When I checked in, there was no mention of it however I have read the reviews beforehand so it didn’t come as a surprise. Overall, if you’re okay with an average hotel then this hotel should be fine. But I’d be willing to pay 50$ more a night for a better accommodation next time.

The location and the property itself is nice. The staff were all nice and the rooms were clean. The drawbacks for me were no biscuits and gravy, no muffins, etc. Those items seem like a staple in most hotels. The $30 a day charge to park in the parking lot seemed unnecessary and extreme. We stayed 5 days. There really isn’t a pool. The hotel shares a city pool/ rec area with the city population. There are only lap lanes and it costs to play in the other areas. The kids got bored not having a pool to play in. Other than that we had a good stay.

Great outdoor space and the building next store with the playground area is great for kids!!

We liked the fact that the property was in a perfect location for us to visit family and also go to the malls.

Overall this was a good stay for the money. Liked that there was real dishes and silverware as well as a dishwasher. Had lots of room for clothes and putting things away to “stay a while”. The indoor park that we had access to for $10/kid was lots of fun. We only used the pool once as it was very limited in when you could use it and what lanes were available. Staff was very friendly, breakfast was okay, not too many choices and very crowded. The one major complaint is that we discovered upon check-in that the inside door handle was missing a screw and was falling off. I was informed that maintenance would be up to fix it. We stayed 3 more days and it did not get fixed before we left.

Breakfast and breakfast servers each morning were great! The rec center next door had an amazing indoor playground for my toddler. Furniture and beds need to be updated.

We love that hotel is amazing the parck in door it's great for little babys we love and are really happy with our stay.

Best place to take kids. The indoor playground Nextdoor is amazing.

Loved the suites for our families with so many kids.
