Holiday Inn Austin, an IHG Hotel

Roma were clean beds were comfortable and overall comfortable for our trip to play softball in Austin MN my grandkids enjoyed the pool and all the amenities

Our family stops here annually with pets. Dogs love the balcony to watch people in the pool area. Recently updated and very clean.

The hotel needs to update their listing here to note that due to construction the pool and fitness center were not available. Both amenities were reasons why I booked this hotel for a weekend stay. I got a call the day before checkin from the hotel to notify me about this but I could not cancel at that point so I had a disappointed child for the weekend. Otherwise the room itself was nice.

Check in is at 3:00. We checked in at 3:45 our room was not yet cleaned. We waited 45 minutes for the call that it was ready. We returned to the check in desk to a line of 15-20 people. We finally got our key and went to the room. The beds are full size, not queen. The room was comfortable but loud. We went to the pool and it had wet closes and towels on the pool deck and chairs. We were the only ones in the pool. After leaving and returning around 10:30 there was a wedding reception in the hotel. People were swearing and talking loudly in the lobby and a lady was passed our from too much alcohol. We asked about the pool and were told it closed and would be locked at 11:00. At 11:30 people were still swimming and being very loud. The smell of alcohol was strong in the hallways and the lobby. The next morning we went to use the hot tub at 9:00. The pool we posted to open at 8:00. It was locked due to lightning, its an indoor pool. They unlocked around 9:15. 12 unsupervised children quickly emerged to the pool. The wet clothes were still laying on the pool deck and some were floating in the hottub. The hot tub was now broken. We chose to just pack up and leave.

This hotel needs serious attention from corporate for a refresh. The rooms are not nice at all. We actually didn’t ask for a pool view room because that design layout is terrible for noise and if you’re traveling with kids who sleep early that can be a big problem. However we got one of these rooms anyway and it was a problem.
