Hampton Inn Ann Arbor - North

It needs to be updated and hall carpet replaced. It is close to family and cost is definitely a factor of us choosing the facility

It was a very nice place for two to three star hotel, the people were very friendly, the breakfast is very good, the pool was clean, and the beds were comfortable, we had a very nice 3 days today and played the pool everyday, very convenient for a lot of shopping and the ladies at the front desk gave both my grandkids they sent back to travel home with thank you

When we booked this reservation, it was a Hampton Inn, however it became Larkspur Landing by the time we arrived. Never heard of this chain before, but I hope that it will be better after it has had time to renovate and iron out all of its kinks. It was pretty run down. We had to switch rooms when we found out the shower didn’t work. Fortunately there was a room across the hall that was available. The free breakfast was ok, like a Hampton Inn, and the kids liked the indoor pool. Would we go back? Only after a renovation (construction was ongoing) and if the price was right.

We decided to book this hotel last minute for our kids sporting event. This hotel is so dated. It wasn’t on the inexpensive side either. Our pillows felt like sleeping on crumbled paper. The tiles on the bathroom floor were cracked all throughout the grout and tile itself. Could barely see yourself in the mirror because of cloudy residue all over them. There was something disgusting inside the refrigerator. We had opened it to place some items upon arrival. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful with getting it replaced for us right away though. Everything about the room needed a complete face lift. Something happened with communication on getting that refrigerator swapped though because around 11pm someone that works at the hotel tried to come in our room to replace it! We had the door locked with the top too, thankfully. The pool was a disaster as well. Cracks everywhere and pools of water all throughout the tiled area around the pool. Such a dangerous hazard for anyone walking through there. Breakfast was rough as well. Very small sitting area to accommodate everyone. The food wasn’t great either.

The hotel was decent, but the pool was being worked on so my kids couldn’t swim…No one told us before checking in that the pool couldn’t be used…We asked to speak with management and they kept telling us they weren’t in but they would have them call us (they never called).

We did a family get-away the first weekend of November and after some poor advertising and communication on Expedia's end, we ended up here. The stay was pleasant and the staff very friendly. There were issues with the room but, only discovered them after we had set up everything with our 2 little ones. We determined we would be fine and completed our stay. We brought up our concerns during our checkout and the assistant manager made things right for us and the room issues would be addressed. I would recommend staying here, the breakfast was also good however, no pool as of our stay and only one elevator was functioning.

The hotel staff was very friendly and courteous. Me and my family had a wonderful time. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Michigan.
