The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They welcomed my dog. The green space was great. The walls were a bit thin. During the day, we could hear the family in the other room speaking at what seemed like a normal volume for people with a child, but it was quiet at night. The TV remote didn’t have a back for the batteries, and there was a bit of a delay with the way it worked, even after we swapped it out.

We were in town for two nights. The Carlton Lodge suited us well for our stay. The kids enjoyed the indoor portion of the pool. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is older but clean. Our heat stopped working during the first night but they got it working again for us by the next afternoon. Breakfast was good, we had sausage, eggs, waffles, bread selection and some fruit (the fruit ran out and was not replenished while we were at breakfast). The only thing we didn’t like was the water, the water from the bathroom tap and the water in the breakfast area (including juice dispenser and coffee) was disgusting, very moldy taste. We picked up a gallon of purified water at the grocery store and were fine, I highly recommend bringing your own water to drink.

Check in was easy and friendly. Room clean. After family outing it was nice to come in to a cool room and bed was relaxing. Enjoyed the pool

The property was decently maintained and the breakfast was also pretty good. However, it was very noisy. There were kids banging on the walls in the room next to us which kept us from sleeping.

I wouldn't stay here again if I could help it. On check in, we were told that there was algae in the pool, although the water levels were safe...no thanks. Also didn't feel comfortable using the inside pool ad they were both connected. Breakfast was very basic. There was cereal, bagels, those make them yourself waffles, bread, juice and coffee, tea, and milk. Seems like yogurt and fresh fruit could have been very easily added. The workout room had those kids colorful interlocking foam peices on the floor and they were very dirty. There was only one towel. There were 4 peices of cardio equipment and a few free weights. When we got to the room, there was no bedding on the pull out coach and the bare mattress looked very old and worn. Called downstairs and the front desk person stated that no one could bring bedding down, that we would have to come get it. She did offer a room with 2 queens, but we had already settled in. The faucet came off and there was a large crack in the sink. No vent fan in the bathroom, so it was not surprizing that there was a little mold in the shower. Our room was not cleaned in between the days we stayed so the garbage was overflowing. Had to go to the front desk to ask for clean towels and was questioned as to why I needed them.

Overall a nice experience. There was an issue with a verbal fight in the hallway around 11 pm. Some kids and adults arguing about racism. Was very loins and even scary with all the unnecessary shootings these days. It lasted about 15 minutes. Also we’ll into the night it sounded like a basketball game was going on upstairs.

Your workers would talk the hallway, cussing like crazy , when I opened my door and said I can hear you , she just said yes like it wasn’t a big deal, also a worker who supposedly lives there was doing her job while her 2 young children were in the room next to ours. Tv blasting and yelling at each with no parental supervision at all. I was trying to relax and that’s what I got from next door. This is our second stay with you guys , I came back cause our stay was good last time. However customer service doesn’t seem to be a priority at the Carlton lodge anymore. If I heard my workers talking like that in the hallway where customers can hear she would be fired

The staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean. The gym equipment worked ok but one treadmill doesn't incline anymore and all of the gym equipment could use an update. The continental breakfast was ok. There was ok variety but there could have been more selection. I don't recall any fruit and there only bread products were sliced bread and bagels. Donuts or danishes or some other pastry would've been nice. The food quality was on par with other continental breakfasts at other hotels but that is to say it was passable but not very tasty. Overall I would stay at this hotel again due to the staff friendliness and cleanliness of the property but I know I would need to bring snacks for my kids to supplement the breakfast.
