Hilton Garden Inn Lansing West, MI

Property and room were in good clean condition. My complaint was regarding the pool. I booked this hotel specifically for the pool and hot tub. We had to visit family new years day and that night was my step-son’s last day of Christmas break so we planned to play in the pool all night and the next morning. HOWEVER, we got up the next morning and was informed the pool was closed for cleaning all morning. So we were not able to spend the morning doing what we paid and planned to do. I was so annoyed we checked out immediately. I understand the need to clean the pool and its area but this is something that should have been done after normal checkout hours when it’s less likely to affect paying guests. Not having got what I paid for in this stay, I will never stay at this location again.

Could not make it to the hotel on our planned check in day due to a severe snow storm and we were traveling from another country. The hotel would not assist in any way. Our family had to sleep in our vehicle to avoid the weather conditions before making our way to the hotel. When we arrived the next day (as we booked for two nights), they attempted to claim we did not have a room as we were a no show. The hotel itself is nice!

Very nice location! Easy to get to and close to a lot of things in lansing. Hotel is extremely clean! Staff is very friendly, highly recommend! We'll be back for sure kids loved the pool.

The hotel is great! Very impressed with the pool, workout room, and restaurant! The only downside to our stay was a very rude staff member at the front desk. I was very turned off by her attitude towards myself and other members of our family. The rest of the staff was wonderful but she really left a bad taste in my mouth. I would be interested to know if surveillance has the audio to see how she speaks with guests.
