The Groton Inn

The property from the outside was pretty but for the cost we were not impressed with the room’s cleanliness or the service provided. Our children slept on the pull out couch which flung crumbs everywhere when they pulled it out. It had bedding already on it which I really didn’t think was clean but there were no extra linens in the closet just one pillow. The bathroom being accessible was fine, but no matter how you put the shower curtain water was all over the floor. The water temp was also difficult to control. The biggest issue was them denying the free breakfast that Expedia said was included for the hotel and listed under each room option. According the the hotel’s staff, “That’s wrong and false advertising on Expedia’s part and they can’t make decisions for them.” I’ve honestly never had hotel staff be argumentative about it and refusing to honor it. We’ve had family who stayed there before with no issue, but we will not stay again.

The property was beautifully maintained. The rooms were clean,spacious, and very comfortable. The room temperature control was excellent. The breakfast was not included if booked with Expedia but could be purchased for $15.00. I traveled there to meet up with family. We had a wonderful relaxing day.
