Homewood Suites by Hilton Boston/Cambridge-Arlington, MA

Came to Cambridge at the wrong time - all college graduation, moving out etc. This is the only hotel available in the vicinity. Front dest never answer our calls. You have to go there physically to ask for towels. Many kids are there and very noisy. After we complained , the front dest stuff (a tall gentleman) responded promptly and the next day got much better. Breakfast was very good but super crowded. We will avoid May to stay in Cambridge in the future. But might come back to the same hotel because of the free parking and convenient location to Harvard.

Convenient to my family in Arlington. Nothing special about property, except unique location.

Great for families and pets. Clean, parking, kitchens etc. excellent restaurant, bar, cvs next door. Lots of great places on the street.

Staff was first rate and the hotel was the best we have been to in the Homewood Suites family.

Our kid is a student at Harvard and we've stayed here a couple of times. The front desk is not staffed all the time and both times we've stayed here we've had to wait for someone to check us in, but not long. Pros: staff is personable and courteous. Property is nice - grounds are well maintained, free covered/outdoor parking, complimentary breakfast with hold/cold options, spacious rooms/bathrooms with mini kitchens; AC (for hot Cambridge summers). It's safe, well priced and very well situated within the greater Cambridge area and in proximity to nearby colleges. Complimentary wi-fi. Cons; garage is a tight squeeze and could use better ventilation/a deep clean; like other hotels, the rugs in the rooms are of questionable cleanliness, the bed covering (top layer) was a little stained, pillow cases didn't match, pillows seemed old/little stained. Shower could use a little freshening. First couple of nights the TV signal wasn't stable.

Good short stay for family. Has kitchenette.

In a great location for touring the area. Bus line to downtown is right next to the building and lots of great restaurants and small eateries and convenience shops nearby. Good resting spot for a family.

I didn't realize that housekeeping is not done daily. Housekeeping is only done on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I had to request a housekeeper 24-hours in advance for Wednesday and Friday of our stay. With a family of 4, it was quite disconcerting. I had to ask for toilet paper and towels several times. For the price per night we paid, I expected housekeeping everyday. Other than that, we had a pleasant stay.

Decent choice outside centre, which suited us as family live nearby There’s a bus stop across the road and it connects in 5 minutes drive to Alewife or Porter Square T stations, then it’s around 6 stops to city Breakfast buffet has a decent choice Reception staff are very friendly and helpful Washing machines and kitchens are good services with families Restaurants and some shops a couple minutes walk away CVS pharmacy and basic grocery shop is next door All in all was a great choice for us
