Freepoint Hotel Cambridge, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Although it looks a bit dated (doors, walls, popcorn ceiling), the hotel is very clean. Nice toiletries in the bathroom. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. 25 $ parking fee was a surprise but nothing out of the ordinary in a city. Nice location for the hotel. There is a lake nearby with walking paths. Dunkin Donuts is right around the corner. I would most definitely stay there again and recommend this place to friends and family.

great location right, next to bus stop to downtown Cambridge, several nice cafes and supermarket in walking distance. nice lake nearby. great and super helpful staff. had a great couple of days there with the family. only one drawback: they charge a fee for parking, but it's not that much.

Freepoint Hotel is by far the most unique travel experience I have had. This property is relaxing, peaceful, beautifully appointed with elements of nature while offering modern amenities. The staff is friendly, gracious and helpful. The bar is cozy and romantic for couples but offers a family friendly atmosphere as well. The food is fun and healthy with creative cocktails. The hotel common areas are spacious and quiet for working or gathering with friends. The Starbucks attaches to the hotel is very convenient. I will definitely stay here again soon.

We chose this hotel for its location near our family. Nice to have a Starbucks and Whole Foods right there. Great to be near Fresh Pond for walking. Strange set for a makeshift closet and only 2 tiny drawers to unpack. I don’t understand why they need to charge $16/day for parking at those rates.

My wife had made the reservation but last minute could not come. We arrived with my two kids at 2am and the hotel check at 2 am refused to check us in. I have the same last name and credit card as my wife. He had me call hotels. com at 2am with two kids and in talk to someone in India and go on about hotel security etc.

This hotel was in a very centric place to all the places I wanted to go to. First, there is a Red Line Train Station nearby (Alewife) which was convenient (about a 15 minute walk). There is a mall right next to it with a Trader Joe's, Chipotle, Sushi place, DD, CVS, Whole Foods, TJ Maxx and a liquor store. There were also some other stores but I didn't pay much attention to them. Having these places nearby is a plus for me. There is a Starbucks right in the hotel. I used Uber/Lyft mostly to travel around and used the red line only once. There are Citi Bikes nearby, about a 10 minutes walk, maybe less. If you travel with children, there is a park about 8 minutes away on foot as well. As for my room, it was VERY clean. There were a few stains on the wall (looks like someone dropped a coffee or coke near the bed) but it wasn't a big deal for me. TV, mini fridge, A/C, hot water, coffee machine, lighting all worked properly. The bed was also clean and comfortable. The pillows were too puffy for me so I tried to flatten them as much as I could (just a personal like for me, I know not everyone likes them flat). Staff was very friendly. I was able to do an early check in for an additional $50 which I didn't mind paying at all since I arrived at about 10 AM as I was exhausted from my flight. I used the coffee machine in the room to only warm water for my tea. I had to run it about 4 times because the water was not exactly coming out clean.
