The rooms are really small, but the space is very well utilized and distributed. The beds were twin size but not a small kid size beds. We slept really well and the location of the place is fantastic. Bus stop and subway station right outside the hotel. Lots of dining options within walking distance. Nice restaurant in the lobby of hotel called Colettes. Superb food and cocktais. For the price this hotel is fantastic! I would definitely stay again.

Everyone was so nice and helpful. Very clean. The skidding door to the bathroom keep slamming on my arm (now it is very sore). Too small for me but I’m from florida and everything has more room. I would stay again.

Very SMALL rooms but bigger problem if you are traveling with kids or friends … bathroom doors are translucent plastic semi see thru that also don’t stay fully shut and have no sound insulation … be ready for limited privacy

This was my first time staying at the Porter Square Hotel and i will definitely be returning. Came to visit with family for the holidays, the staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. Hotel itself was clean and comfortable. And even though it is located right on Mass Ave I heard no traffic noise at night.

Be warned that when they say the rooms are small, they’re extremely small! We had 2 twin beds and barely enough room to move around them. There’s no way to open/close the shower door without it hitting the stream of water. Also the bathroom doors are horrible and you need to grab both sides to slide it (would be hard for kids/elderly to)
