Hampton Inn Hadley-Amherst Area

We stayed two nights during a lacrosse tournament. Our queen bed accommodations were adequate. The indoor pool was small but worked well for a quick cool off after games. The facilities are pretty beaten up. Our bathroom was in need renovation and our shower poured water after it was shut off. Maintenance said that they needed to order a part so it didn't get fixed. The breakfast is very good and the area to eat is well taken care of with plenty of seating. The coffee was good and close to the door for a quick to-go cup. There are multiple electric vehicle chargers and they don't have small sundries/toiletries in the rooms. They have full bottles, which we prefer. Strangely their elevator is the slowest I have experienced. The up side is that their stairs to the upper floors are wide, sunlit and carpeted so if you aren't carrying something heavy or your rowdy kids are annoying in the elevator, there is a perfect solution.

The staff including the cleaning staff were very helpful and the room was clean and nicely furnished. When I called after we departed because I thought I might have left something behind they checked immediately and made a note to call me if it turned up which I greatly appreciated. The only thing I didn’t like was the noise. The walls, ceilings and floors are thin and every foot step above us sounded like a baby elephant; when using the bathroom you can hear people talking in the hall and the plumbing from the apartment above.

There was ample, easy parking. 5 year old grandaughter loved the pool - very warm. Breakfast was good. Loved the hot coffee, tea water and cold water that was always available in the lobby. Less than 30 minutes to a children's science museum and a zoo and lots of good restaurants nearby.

Basic hotel, thin walls, floors, and slamming doors, so it was noisy. People in room above stomped around a lot - I think they had kids. Bed was comfortable. Room faced parking lot so we had slamming car doors. Off busy road, so there was also traffic noise including many motorcycles. I would not stay here again. The staff was really nice and the hot breakfast was good and, surprisingly, the coffee was good.

Our family member stayed here for a week over Christmas holidays. The staff was so friendly, breakfast was satisfying and the room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The location was close to our home so we were only minutes away for gathering together. Just perfect all around!

We went there for the school family weekend, the front desk was friendly, breakfast was OK, but the room was not up to date, especially the bathroom, there are black spots on the bathroom floor, the room was muggy. The soundproof of the floor was very bad, we couldn't sleep, because the footstep of upstairs constantly pounding above our head. I originally booked another hotel about 10 min from this one, but my wife decided to go with this one, she was very disappointed, with the price almost doubled, she expected much cleaner and more quiet.
