Clean, comfortable and so quiet. The check in girl was amazing. She saw me get out of my car with a cast on my foot and asked if I wanted her to come to me. She changed my room from a second floor to a first floor and gave me all kids of info about what was around and where to go. This is not a modern hotel and it is a little out dated however it is super clean and the beds are comfy. Breakfast is amazing.

Most of the reviews are right… this property could use some updates … BUT it was quiet, comfortable, convenient, and affordable while I had a family member in the hospital. Breakfast and snack offerings were above and beyond!

Excellent reception at this hotel which seems to be family-owned. Building is a bit older and some furniture and fixtures are vintage but everything is in good condition and room was very clean. Breakfast room is very spacious and there is a lot of choice as well

We arrived a midnight after several flight delays. There was no parking. It was raining. My husband had to drive far off in the back by some trucks and walk back. The receptionist said she wouldn't check us in until he returned because his name was on the reservation. I had his credit card, but we still had to stand and wait. The room is in general disrepair. It is spacious, but the ceiling is evidence of at least one leak, possibly more. The bathroom also had the same problem. Despite the late hour, there were single people and couples milling about in various locations. Very strange. At breakfast in the lobby, dozens and dozens of students had filled up every conceivable table, chair, recliner, floor space. We had to navigate around them to get to the food, and then eat it while standing. The students were not eating. They were chatting and playing with their phones. While we can excuse children for being children, the staff could have, and should have, asked them to stand up. Multiple other customers - not in the student group - arrived and either brought food back to their rooms or ate while standing or sitting in spaces down the hall (not designed for eating and not near the area). The staff seemed unaware of the situation, and that translated as uncaring to their customers.

I came up for a few days to visit family. Nothing fancy as far as the room went but it did provide a mini frige which was very useful. This hotel was clean, the staff was very polite and helpful. The bed was a bit older and could have been more comfortable, same with the pillows. Breakfast was a great spread. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juices, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, bagels, english muffins, toast, muffins, eggs, sausage patties, beans, and made fresh Belgian waffles!!! That alone was worth the stay!! The price matched the stay with the breakfast. Would stay here again

Ursula who runs the front desk and manages check in is a force of nature and one of the most amazing people you’ll ever meet. She and her staff are dialed in to the customer experience with free snacks in the lobby and breakfast in the morning which is fresh cooked and includes cut up watermelon and other fruit, yogurt, waffles, bagels, etc. There are vending machines in the lobby of each building and the hotel is easily walkable to a couple of restaurants in case you’re tired and don’t want to drive. The rooms themselves are very dated and the queen beds are more like full beds. Our room was clean but the beds are tough if you’re traveling as a family with tall people. It was decent but sleep wise it was tough. For a short trip we could rough it out but anything longer than a weekend we’d need to go elsewhere.

Stayed here for weekend shopping trip with my kids and my only complaint is how outdated the rooms are but honestly for the age of the property, it’s very clean! I’d stay here again. Staff 10 ⭐️

The staff was amazing; the friendliest group of people you can imagine. Breakfast was out of this world (my kids loved the donuts from a local bakery)!

Kind of like your nana’s house- charmingly dated, a little musty, but clean. Old school two storey motel with stairs to the second floor. Room door used an actual key on a key fob. Door knob was a bit fiddly but not frustratingly so. If you like odd or unusual stuff you will absolutely love the baby blue toilet and tub/shower. Tub was squeaky clean but the towel bar was floppy and the wallpaper over the shower had steamed off some. Minor things. Beds were comfortable and linens were nice and crisp. It’s not modern or fancy but it’s clean and secure and that’s really what you expect for your money. The included full breakfast was a great bonus. Every employee we encountered was very friendly and welcoming. We stayed the night for UMaine orientation and we won’t hesitate to stay here again when we visit our student.

This hotel is one of the cleanest I have ever been in. I even went looking for dirt and couldn’t find any. For an older hotel I was very impressed. The staff is beyond amazing and extremely friendly. The breakfast is better than the big chains. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. It was nice to have a separate bedroom with a baby. They even provided a pack and play for our use.
