We were looking for one last trip together before the baby comes. The cottage at the Open Hearth Inn was perfect. A very comfortable, warm space with all the amenities we needed. While Acadia is not as close a walk as we thought it would be, it was a close drive. We are very happy we stayed there and hope to be returning some day with a bigger family.

Arriving here felt like coming home. Everything was clean and cozy. I stayed in a suite in the main building and it was perfect. It’s a bit quirky (the bathtub is in the room) but in the most lovely way. The people that run it welcomed me and told me the best spots to see and treated me like family. Next time I’m in the area I’ll definitely stay here again.

Comfy, cute, and affordable! Only 15-20 minutes from Acadia/Bar Harbor. The owners were very kind and the hotel had all the amentities you would need. Lots of great lobster options all around. Staying here reminded me of staying at my families lake cabin. Cozy and wonderful to come back to after a day of fun. Enjoy!
