I can't speak more highly of the Lucerne Inn and their wonderful staff. They treated my family very well and I'm certainly going to be looking to stay again when we come back that way.

Located in a very picturesque setting, older antique historic structure backdropped over a scenic hill. They run a busy restaurant in the inn and that’s probably their bread and butter. Staff is really occupied with that end, while The hotel is just kind of on the side. We were given a basement room and to get to that you literally have to walk thru the busy restaurant with the patrons gauking at you carrying your stuff which was very ackward. We were a couple with 3 kids and I had clearly registered them in while signing up, was supposed to get bedding for 5, but upon arrival they said they charge xtra nightly for the rollaway beds! They said they have no communication with hotels.com, and would not accommodate me at all, while the xtra beds were locked up right outside our room with a bike lock.

We stayed with 3 kids during the eclipse. The rooms were wonderful, the staff was nice, and my kids loved exploring the grounds! During breakfast the day of the eclipse, they made sure to give us advice to ensure we got to a good viewing location.
