Sam's Town Hotel & Casino, Shreveport

The air conditioner did not work we left it on for several hours befre I called the desk around 10:00pm she told me she would get maintenance to the room but no one ever came. My wife and I were trying to get some sleep due to being up all night at the hospital with a family member we could not sleep due to how hot it was we could not open any windows to get air. We would put cold rags on our bodies too keep some what cool I told the women at check out about our air not working and she did not care at all.

We booked an additional night at the hotel before arriving, but unfortunately, the room had several issues, including dirty sheets and a dirty restroom door. The water in the sink was only hot water, which we reported to the front desk. They sent up someone who informed us that a plumber would be sent, because he couldnt fix it. The issue was not resolved by the next day. We again contacted the front desk and was advised to speak with the manager (Christopher), but he wouldnt be in until the morning we would be leaving. After my husband made some coffee and ended up sick. I checked the water and it wouldnt drain. I also noticed it was not only hot but yellow as well. We also had a disappointing experience at the hotel restaurant. I was served a hot salad way before my family was served their meal. Overall, I would not recommend staying here and did not feel safe leaving the hotel alone. I have pictures and videos to prove everything that I stated in the comment btw.

AC did not blow cold, add says great for traveling with children but they denied my 17 year old access to the pool.

Great family get away

Despite the ups and downs of my stay, I must highlight the exceptional service I received from the staff at the deli and Smoky Jones. Their attention to detail truly elevated my experience. However, I encountered a significant setback at the front desk, where further training is clearly needed. My sister and I had booked two rooms to rest during our childhood home renovation. Unfortunately, a simple request to retrieve my key from my room turned into a humiliating ordeal. Despite explaining my predicament, the guest receptionist, Monica, insisted I come down in person, disregarding my lack of presentability. This unnecessary inconvenience left me feeling mortified and embarrassed. Such lapses in customer service overshadow the positives of my stay, making it unlikely for me to return in the future.

I liked it was kid friendly, and up on the 18th floor looking at the river was very nice and enjoyable

The 1st room I was put in they had no lock at the top so I requested a new room. They put me in another room. Well that room was hot, & we didn’t get much sleep. I hated to change rooms because it was late and I was traveling with little kids. The staff was very friendly.

The person who checked me in was as cold as ice. No hello, no welcome, no thank you. Nothing. There was skid marks in the toilet. I couldn’t believe it. And to make matters worse, the toilet is not secured to the floor. The bed didn’t have a fitted sheet. Only two flat. My key wouldn’t work in the elevator so I need a new one. Not a big deal, but the front desk lady was rude. I definitely regret wasting my money on this dump.

The only negative thing was there was no upgrades available as offered. The room I booked was huge with an enormous bathroom. Plenty of room for a family of 4.

Stayed 2 days for my wife's birthday. Really enjoyed my stay. Room was clean and the staff was friendly as usual. My family friends and I normally stay at Sams Town when we come to Shreveport. Really like this place.
