Homewood Suites by Hilton Shreveport / Bossier City, LA

Room was very nice and the beds were very comfortable. We were there with a few kids for a cross country meet. The only thing I would suggest as different, the breakfast could have started earlier, as we had to be out early to get to the meet. But otherwise, it was a nice and comfortable room.

These staff here are horrible. I asked them a couple times to clean our room and they NEVER came we stayed 5 days. We started using grocery bags as garbage bags to dump out our garbage. Had to go to front desk and keep asking for towels. The 4th floor has a leak in ceiling and they have 2 buckets and the huge laundry bin in center of hallway that looks very unsafe and hazardous for anyone with children. Donna is very rude and nasty. Asked her if they had any pepto for sale. She never gives me any eye contact starts drinking her cup and says no and never turns her head to give me any contact. Remind you I said hello good morning before asking her. She didn’t want to speak because and says “morn-in” and rolls her. She clearly hates her job and disgusting. There’s another one that’s a cleaning lady and she was smacking her gum and rolling her eyes. She has fingerwaves and hair really short. They obviously have issues. We had no idea they had a restaurant or anything. Our room wasn’t ready by 3. We had to wait until they cleaned a room and we drove 12 hours to get there. Disgusting miserable employees.

We arrived late and check in was easy. Our room was spacious and clean. Bathroom was huge. Plenty of towels, pillows and linens for our large family. Breakfast buffet was excellent and late checkout availability at noon made us not feel rushed.

We go to Shreveport LA to visit family and we always stay at the Homewood Suites by Hilton. Usually we have a super nice room. This room had a lot to lack. Super small tub that had chips in the porcelain. The outside of the fridge needed to be cleaned. Our check in time was 3 pm and we got there at 3:30 and had to wait another hour for a clean room. All the AC in the room was off and it was nearly 80 degrees in our room. This room was just not what we are used too and definitely not as described by hotel nor did it match any pictures on the website. So disappointed!

Our Stay was amazing! This is the 4th consecutive year we have held our family trip at Homewood Suites Bossier, about 40 of us from La & Tx share the site as a central connection to family fun. We look forward to future stays at the hotel. .

I chose this Hotel based off of the great recent reviews it had. My family and I were traveling home from Florida and just couldn’t go anymore. Pictures online looked great and reviews were great. We needed a suite because we were traveling with my parents and our 1 year old baby. Check in went smooth and they were friendly. The room we were given was considerably worn and not maintained. Towels were clean but the room itself was definitely not worth our money spent. It needs a major deep cleaning. Baseboards were stained and taped together. The bath tub was stained and the grout and corner of the tub was nasty. If we had not been so extremely tired I would have demanded a refund and went elsewhere. I actually used a towel to stand on in the shower and on the handicapped bench where I sat my daughter to wash her. There may be other nicer rooms given to regular check ins but we were very disappointed in the shape of our room and the condition of the items in it. I always try to be fair with reviews and know mistakes happen but this was not just something not cleaned once or twice. Constant neglect and such a shame because the interior when we walked in was very promising.

Clean, affordable and great complimentary breakfast. Staffed by hard working nice people. We come to visit family a couple of times a year and we will definitely stay here again.

Great hotel especially when traveling with a large family! Clean, comfortable and friendly staff!

I requested an accessible room as I am handicapped. I was given a standard room and the hotel was completely booked. It’s hard to get up from a low toilet when you have no muscle in your knees. I had a staff member carry in an over the tub shower chair to help with getting off the toilet but most of the time, I used the lobby restroom. My family had a 9 hour drive before checking in to this hotel. There were also roaches in the kitchen.

Had to clean the room ourselves after arriving after midnight with two sleeping kids. The property is old and outdated. The whole place has a faint mildew smell. We got to our room, 432, and it had obviously not been cleaned other than trash taken out and a new top sheet, in quite a while. No cleans rooms were available to switch us to so my husband and I spend over an hour in the middle of the night changing bedding and cleaning everything with Lysol wipes from our car before we could get to sleep. The bedding is pathetic. Old worn out pillows. No comforter. No basic toiletries in the room. Dirty dishes in the sink and dishwasher. Filthy carpet. Cobwebs in the corners. Broken side table. Large damp spot on the sofa that smelled like urine. Walks has old drops of liquid running down all over. Layer of dust on the fan. Built up grime along baseboards. It was gross. The breakfast area was dirty. The two ladies running the area were very rude to anyone that asked a question. We left after the first night and booked a cheaper and much cleaner hotel but lost the $250 for the second night at this hotel and could not get a refund because we booked on hotels.com. This was our first time having such an awful experience at any Hilton property. It was a bad experience and if cleanliness is important to you, do not stay here.
