La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Slidell - North Shore Area

Stayed here overnight as we passed through this area on a long trip to visit family. The check-in was easy, friendly and welcoming. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We felt safe in the area and there was plenty of restaurants within walking distance, easy driving distance (a couple of blocks or so). The room, a king size, was a little more pricey than I wanted but inflation always surprises me, I don't book a lot of hotel stays. But it was not overpriced, worth the money for peace of mind and clean rooms. Hotel was a little dated but clean and friendly. No bad smells, everything seemed fresh. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Our rooms were clean It was a good place to stay for 1 night we booked a total of 4 rooms for a large family. Breakfast was ok.

Staff was very kind and accommodating. There was an area for pets. A trash can and poop bags were provided. The pool was a favorite for my kiddos. Very clean and water felt great.

We stayed here on our way to Tennessee. The desk clerk was very friendly with welcoming. The room was spacious and clean. It’s a small hotel great for a quick stay. Easy on and off the highway. The pet fee wasn’t ridiculously high and we felt safe when we took our fur babies out to take care of business. (Our papillon was like a little kid jumping from bed to bed - so she liked the room. Our Cavalier, he likes jumping in the shower to wash his paws, so the low tub was exciting to him.)

At first glance the hotel is looks sketchy. Lights are very dim on the exterior. I guess it doesnt help that the surrounding hotels are very well lit. I was upset that the pool closes at 7pm and kids didnt get to enjoy. The rooms needs some updating and deep cleaning on the sofa chair in the room. I only booked due to being a late check in and we were tired and didnt go else where.

Little outdated but had cribs available for infant and staff was very friendly and helpful. Free parking

This property is very run down and dirty looking. There are weeds growing out the gutters. The inside is very "tired" looking. Worn floors, walls need repainting. Will not be staying at this location again and we travel to Slidell quite often to visit family.

The greeter Sarah on the morning staff was very nice! The night greeter was not so nice don’t know her name and didn’t wanna know. The lobby was clean and inviting. The outside curb appeal has gone down a lot. The room was clean but there are stains that they may not be able to remove from the tub and toilet. There was no foul smells just the old outdated smell to the room. We could not get clean towels not sure if it was due to a full house or a shortage in staff. On the bright side the bed was fairly comfortable and the shower was like Niagara Falls lol ( the soft water was a plus). We have very hard water in Texas so that was a good thing! The dog fee was only $20 so that was a plus for us! Overall it was a place to lay your head but I won’t go back. I don’t wanna experience bad greeters with attitude when I’m paying $184 a night sorry! Can’t do it!! If I could give the night greeter specifically a zero I would her kids were a better greeter than she was and they were so cute!!

The staff was wonderful at the hotel! Our room was clean, the beds were a bit hard but nothing terrible. Our kids loved the pool! Breakfast every morning was fantastic and a great perk! We would absolutely stay here again if we were in the area!
