This is the second time I have stayed here: once for a conference and once for a family LSU game. This hotel never disappoints with its beautiful lobby and first floor, easy access to a nice gym, cozy beds with all the necessities, and prime real estate in Baton Rouge area.

The weekend, my mum and myself along with my husband stayed there the people above us on the 7th floor kept dropping objects on the floor. Not to mention the children running up and down the hallway a late hours of the night. We did not get any sleep due to this fact. When we checked out that morning, I brought it up to the clerk that was there. I didn't want to complain because the day we arrived our key card was not working and we kept going back and forth. Finally they upgrade our room that was beautiful. Seeing that we were celebrating my birthday and all I wish the noise was less. However someone was supposed to call me but never did and I do understand they are busy hotel. The hotel is beautiful a nod people are friendly

We were delayed by weather and other events arriving at about 2 AM. The desk attendant asked for our name then went away for about 10 minutes. Came back to say they had overbooked and there was no room for us. Sent us to the downtown Marriott “free”. We loaded up the car and arrived there 10 min later. We were charged $40 to park in an outdoor parking lot with 100 yard walk. The complimentary room was a nice measure but I would have rather had the room I booked with other family members and not had to pack up for another hotel. The parking fee for this particular location was ridiculous especially given our inconvenience. I have valeted at resorts for less.

Room was very tight with one of beds right against glass window on 6th floor especially with a small child who fell against window from bed. Room was not cool enough. Air conditioner did not cool adequately.

We absolutely love Renaissance Baton Rouge, but this stay was horrible. We decided to come here as a local Father’s Day Staycation that turned out ti be a BAD choice. There must have been a baseball team or some sort of large group of guests, including kids that were loud and obnoxious. We were on the 6th floor and could barely sleep due to kids/teenagers running races up and down the hallway. This carried on from 10:30pm until around 12:00am Then they seemed to resume the same activities around 6:00am. We don’t plan on staying here again. What was once a very classy, elegant hotel is starting to become very unclassy and to me losing its value. The pool area was the same. Lots of diving into pool and splashing water on guest that weren’t in the pool. There should be a cut off time for kids, especially if they are not going to be respectful of others. We paid our money as well to not have had a great respectful time.
