Hampton Inn & Suites Marksville

The pool wasn’t operating I had to go to the casino and pay extra money for kids to swim

My family has been coming to this facility for Christmas and other family events every year cut a long time (at least 10 years) but the maintenance of the property has gone down every time. The only reason we continue is that there is little competition other than the casino hotel. The rooms are not vacuumed apparently because they were very dirty. Carpet throughout the facility has not been cleaned for years. Luggage carts are literally falling apart with wheels holding on by a thread. The sink in our room was clogged but when we reported it the person that came to the room only poured a chemical in the sink that didn't work. I mentioned that it needed to be plunged but he disagreed. The refrigerator compressor must be going out because it was so loud it disrupted our sleep. Breakfast was good. This was our worst experience after many years staying here. What makes it worse is that this facility is expensive charging 4-5 start prices without a deal or discount.

Hotel is a nice family hotel but there is time for to smoke grades on carpet and wallpaper some of the carpet is tearing and wallpapers coming off walls and may need to do some vacuum and cleaning and some carpet shampoo in the hotel in the hallways

Very nice room. The staff was wonderful. We went down to check out a little after 10:00. Our son went for breakfast. Breakfast ended at 10:00 but the lady working in the area allowed our family to eat breakfast.
