Lodge has a nice historic vibe in the exterior and lobby. We had a nice room suite, with two full bathrooms, great when traveling with 2 adults and 3 kids. Kinda bland in the decor, bed was just ok, not evey comfortable. Had to request sheets for the pullout. Pillows were scarce. Staff was friendly and helpful. The park has so many hiking trails and the falls are beautiful. A few areas of concern: With hot water on full and no cold, shower was just hot enough, so whatever. No elevator, which is ok for us, but lugging our luggage up the narrow stairs was less than ideal. Continental breakfast was really bad. Eggs and sausage were cold. Juice was not good. Milk was spoiled. Skip it, but definitely check out the view from the restaurant!

This was a wonderful place to stay, especially with kiddos. The restaurant at the resort is fabulous and the continental breakfast was GREAT. Beautiful views and excellent service. Our family highly recommends.

We had a phenomenal stay. I used to go to Cumberland Falls growing up and going back was on my bucket list. A friend went with me since all of my immediate family members have passed. We had some of the kindest people ever serving us at every turn. 👍👍

Moldy ceilings and Thin walls Me and my new husband went for our honeymoon (we wanted to see the moon bow!) and in order to try and be considerate to others got a studio cabin instead of staying in the lodge. What was advertised as a studio cabin (the woodland rooms) is actually at best a duplex hotel room. The "kitchenette" is no more than you would find in the average hotel (a sink, mini fridge and microwave). The bathroom ceiling is growing its own species of mold. And I don't mean a little, the whole ceiling is covered in little black spores. Worst of all was the fact the 2 "cabins" are connected by an adjoining door (similar to some hotel rooms). We were woken at midnight to the fella in the room next door video chatting his mom. Don't get me wrong I'm glad he's "feeling led spiritually" and all the family is doing well Someone named Sara has a new little one. I'm sorry to hear "sara" and her dad have had some sort of fall out. But I didn't expect to listen to his 2 hour long conversation word for word OR to be able to hear the person on the other end of the chat so clearly. The staff at the lodge were wonderful and answered any questions i had during our stay but 5 star customer service can only fix so much

Beautiful old lodge. Needs updating. Room with 2 double beds, only one chair in the room. Restaurants closed Monday and Tuesday (days of our stay). 18 miles into town to get to eat, so I brought our food. Ignored by receptionist upon arrival for about 5 minutes (she was on the phone). No hello or good morning from staff at breakfast (cheap food, but available). Found a child's sock, Legos and a dime on the floor of the room (not vacuumed after last guest?). Nature surrounding the area is beautiful, but didn't make up for the poor quality of the lodge. Needs funding from the state and nicer staff.

Nice cottage inside the state park conveniently located close to many hiking trails. Kitchen is a plus. There is a fire place and have an outside fire pit for bonfire. There is a children play yard right in the cabin area. Dining at River view restaurant. Good place for spending time in the middle of nature and get away from internet. There is no cell service at the park.

I could hear people on other side of woodland talking and baby crying. Restaurant was closed.

Overall very nice stay! The woodland cabin we stayed in met our needs but was somewhat outdated. However the refrigerator froze most of our food and when neighbors moved in on the second night you could hear every sound they made including the kids crying at 7:00am. I wasn't aware that the cabins were duplexes. The free breakfast was very nice! The park was amazing! Loved Cumberland falls and the hike to Dog Slaughter Falls.

This was a trip for me and my daughter to see Cumberland Falls for the first time. Everything was good, the only thing I’d rate less than 5 stars is there was no food vending machines. My child asked for a snack late in the evening and there was no machines. There was a storm that knocked out all internet so the television never did come back on. That’s not the fault of the Lodge. It’s a beautiful place and I plan on coming back, but will make sure to pack snacks for kiddo.
