Sheraton Overland Park Hotel at the Convention Center

We had a huge party of family members staying at this hotel. We are thankful that they listened to us by letting our rooms stay on the same level and right next to each other. However, when it was first night there, we were in the hot tub and the staff was closing down. He was extremely rude asking us to leave since the pool was closing down. We ladies wanted to go to the bar and it was only 10:20, and per the website it says it closes at 11 pm. The waitress had told us they were closed and their was a couple still sitting at the bar or resturant. She couldn't tell us why they were closing early, she just said they are closed. It was a disappoint. Our queen size beds seemed like it was more of a full size. Lastly, we asked for room service and returned and one room did not get room service. A family member had forgotten their lunch bag and when I went to claim it. It was missing hee tubberware. Overall, the hotel is beautiful but not all staff are friendly.

The check in process was a little complicated but the lady helping was so nice and helpful and was able to figure everything out. We were switched to this hotel due to original booking at another hotel the air conditioning went out. Thankfully our room was clean this time unlike last. My only “complaint” is all the extra fees on top of your regular stay. You’re paying a higher rate to stay here compared to others in the area but then having to pay to park for your stay. Being charged extra for our children and then being charged for them again to have breakfast. We travel a lot as a family due to sporting events and have had many hotel stays but we’ve never had to pay extra for what comes with all of our other stays.

The hotel for me is 5 stars, this my second time staying here and have been Pleased with the service, cleanliness. I will recommend to my family and friends.

Property is very glamorous. But Way to expensive. Can’t hang up clothes in the closet because of the large floor safe. Pool crowded with kids.

Pool area was great for my kids! The hot tube was an added bonus. The restaurant had great food, but they were short staffed so service was slow. A bit overpriced but good. Would recommend!

The ambiance at the Sheraton hotel was amazing and very welcoming. I would surely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Walking into this beautiful hotel was an experience I won’t forget. The check-in was great and full of laughs. The room was great and the view was amazing. My family enjoyed the small apartment like experience for our short visit. Would definitely recommend.

The elevator that takes you from the top parking level up to the lobby was broken the whole three days I was there. One night there was only one of the six elevators going up to the 20 floors of rooms that was working. There were many many families with young children using the pool who had to wait in long lines to get to their rooms. I had to walk six flights of stairs to get to my room since I did not have time to wait on the one elevator and had to get dressed for a meeting.

Was a wonderful stay very kid friendly! Very clean and the pool was great!!

I like the security used for the elevator to occupied floors. I didn’t like the child size toilet.
