The gentleman that checked us in was amazing! He tried to accommodate our two families. He made sure we had everything we needed!

We paid extra for a room with additional floor space for our 5 month old baby, little did we know that room would share a wall with the pool that's open from 7am to 10pm, and yes, people were in there screaming from open until close. Couldn't switch rooms because the hotel was sold out, we will probably opt to stay at a different hotel in the future as this is the only one we've ever seen with a room sharing a wall with the pool. Better to avoid the hotel than run into that issue again.

We ended up staying due to blizzard conditions on our route home. Us and our 16 month old. It was comfortable enough for us and had a bath tub to bathe the baby. We were right across from the elevator, which I thought would be noisy, but it wasn't too bad. Overall good stay. While i don't see us needing to stay in Hays again, i would definitely recommend this place.

Front doors were filthy. We had a family of 6 and it was stated that one room could accommodate us all, but it only slept 5. Breakfast was good. Room was clean.

Very very poor water pressure for the shower, almost unusable. And the pancake maker my kids were very much looking forward to was out of commission both Saturday and Sunday during our stay.

We've tried a few of the hotels in Hays and found the experience relatively similar between this one, the Hilton and Hampton Inn. The only thing that the Holiday Inn Express has that's better than the others is the breakfast. The downsides were: we didn't find the beds or even towels as comfortable, there's only one elevator which creates wait times, and 1 out of 4 of our family members didn't have any conveniently located outlets. I would recommend spending less and potentially having a better stay at one of the other hotels.
