Courtyard Des Moines West/Jordan Creek

Everything was great except the hotel was packed with young baseball players and was VERY LOUD. I had planned on swimming and enjoying the pool but that was NOT possible. The pool was cloudy and disgusting, and probably way tooooooo many people in the pool. The kids were running rampant in the halls, shouting, slamming doors, and being obnoxious kids. Their adult supervisers were not much better. Since I had planned on a nice quiet weekend of reflection since I was in Des Moines for a memorial service, I was very disappointed that I didn't get that or much sleep. I feel like I should have been offered a discounted rate at least. I probably would not stay here again, although my room was beyond comfortable : )

It was a great one night family get away. The kids all had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

Lobby was filled with families, presumably a reunion, but it was loud and chaotic. People were everywhere, even spilling into business center, hallways, bar. Waiting 15 mins to be helped and was greeted by sweaty bald attendant who seemed overwhelmed and dismissive. Got to the room, which was clean except for hair around base of toilet. Bed was comfortable but lots of noise through the walls and outside the room until well into the morning. Cranked our white noise maker and pretended we were sleeping in a subway. Difficult night of sleep.

Great breakfast, clean area, pool was great for the kids, beds were comfortable.

Room was advertised as king with pull out sofa and world sleep 4. Got there and my kids had no where to sleep. Had to get 2 roll away beds which took a long time because the staff was understaffed and the poor front desk lady was by herself trying to accommodate about 5 family’s all by herself. Pool was super tiny, no continental breakfast. Shower was loaded bud long black hairs.

This property was comfortable, clean and family friendly. It was nice to not be stuck in your room at a hotel, many families gathered in the lobby while kids went swimming. The staff was top notch!

The king suite was very spacious and well designed. Staff was friendly and lobby had plenty of space for groups. The only downside was the pool water was very cloudy. I did not feel comfortable letting my child swim in that water.
