Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City

We did enjoy the room service from the fuel cafe. I was very disappointed in the fact that the actual main restaurant is now permanently closed. They do have fuel and some abbey place, but limited hours and seating. The casino is very small and bars were not attainable for us as it was packed. Rooms have no soundproofing. I knew it was a risk as hard rock has gone down hill the last 10-15 years. I just wanted a cool place for the family to stay as we were in town for a wedding. Unless your there for a show or something, I’d stay elsewhere, my own opinion.

Fun pool. Great decor. Casino was friendly to my husband. Nowhere for kids to eat at hotel. Somethings are closed Sun and Mon… know before you go!

The front desk attendants are amazing and friendly, the free drinks vouchers were a very exciting surprise that was much appreciated! I really like the security that the hotel guests have with a room card being required to get the elevator to take you to your floor, and was impressed by the high industrial ceilings and unique interior design of the rooms and hotel. I was hoping to let my kids have a neat relaxing hotel movie night, but there are actually NO movie channels at all, no On Demand, or streaming capabilities, or even player devices that would allow them to watch a rented movie. Since they are younger children, there wasn’t really anything for them to do, and the TVs in the suite are hung on the same wall, with sound bars, so it’s not really feasible to watch something in the living room area when someone is trying to watch something on the bedroom TV because nobody can hear their show over the other TV’s show. The bathroom had used q-tips on the floor by the toilet, pieces of tissue/dust, and clearly was not swept or mopped before we checked in, but I loved the oversized shower, double vanity sink & separated toilet room. Obviously, the Hotel is geared more toward adult travelers/ casino than it families, & it‘s perfect at that, but I was disappointed that there really wasn’t ANYTHING for my kids to enjoy in the hotel or room at all. If they had even a movie to watch in their room I would have been able to experience the casino & bars myself.

Rarely, in this day and age can a couple just simply escape the business life and be a couple. From work to parenting three teenagers we are constantly taking work calls, taking care of our home, or someone has something going on. Thank you to HRC for giving us the opportunity to reconnect and have freaking fun without the “blockers” in our house preventing us from gambling and boozing while having a blast doing so. Wins: Customer service - lobby staff. Fun accommodating and kind. Bar and casino staff. Fun, friendly and just good at what they do. Slots and tables - the machines pay! We had fun playing! Fuel - time wise we didn’t get a chance to eat at main and Abbey but we did enjoy fuel, Sunday for lunch we ate the hell out of their burgers and fries. Hotel room. We had to downgrade to get a bathtub, wife enjoys soaking peacefully without the kids knocking on the door every damn minute. Unfortunately it was an outdated bathtub situation. Drain always drained or at least made the sound of one draining. It is what it is. But I think we are paying for ambiance and location to casino. Ultimately amazing stay and we’re sorry we had to leave. Thank you hard rock.
