An absolute gem, very peaceful to stay, take a stroll on the trails, check out the turtles in the pond. The pool, hot tub & game room were awesome for the adults and kids. A lot of common areas to hang out, play games, & enjoy company. Would HIGHLY recommend, especially if your goal of vacationing here is to RELAX & slow down a bit!

Beautiful property with an enormous amount of sitting options throughout.. fireplaces, stuffed dogs (in case you’re missing your fur baby!), nice entertainment area with pool, hot tubs, game room. Country decor, spacious room.. we will be back!

I stayed a night here with the family and it was a very pleasant stay. This place is unique, cozy, clean, and very peaceful. We will definitely be back in the future!

We were so surprised at how beautiful Essenhaus was, and how friendly. The first thing I thought was what a great place for a family reunion, a ladies getaway, we’ll be back.

Everything was very nice, Except there was a bunch of little kids running around stomping on the floors, screaming and hollering, and the staff wouldn’t make them calm down. They were just running through the lobby, screaming and hollering, and nobody would make them stop! This was rude of the parents and the staff for not having control over them.

Old world charm with modern amenities. Great place for families. Very clean, indoor pool and game room. Breakfast is very good as well

We enjoyed everything about our stay, from the room accommodations, breakfast, staff, cleanliness and the surrounding shops and restaurant on the same property. Definitely a place we would highly recommend to family and friends and a place we will return to again and again.
