Best Western Luxbury Inn Fort Wayne

To start with pictures of hotel are better than it was. Hotel checkin he was behind a big piece of plexiglass and said because I’ve booked with Expedia we’ve got to pay an extra $150 for incidentals. I asked him why there was nothing in the room even worth $150 to be honest. After checking in, only 1 cup in room when we got there. Very old dark wallpaper musty and everything is old and tired. Crappy part of town, and kids coming back and super loud slamming doors at 11 then at 1 a big discussion outside with two men. But the worst was the cigarette smoke coming in through AC. Everyone is standing underneath window to smoke. Right below window. The place was old and so tired looking. Crappy carpet, dirty, Mattress hard and pillows smelling like pizza sauce. But we slept and left early. A $75 hotel not $100 for sure and I’d really like a refund.

Front desk guy was incredible when we checked in Saturday afternoon. Breakfast was ok, the menu changes and I bet other days were better- the omelets were a little over cooked and the doughnuts dense. They brought out mini doughnuts which my kids liked much more. Bed was firm but comfortable. Pillows were small though. They were the size of throw pillows

Amenities and satisfaction beyond expectations for the value price! Very happy with our last minute stay with 2 kids. I would stay here again.

The receptionist that I worked with both days was truly amazing! My family was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. It was a bit pricey our second night.

Needed a place to sleep and shower while visiting family near Fort Wayne. This one fit the bill for the price. Front desk staff was incredibly friendly. Room Kinda musty smelling, bathroom door didn't close and toilet didn't flush right but it all worked out.

Best Western showed no empathy for our family situation. Our lives flipped upside down when out of a sudden a medical emergency occurred. The money may not matter to Best Western but to our family it makes a difference. We are very disappointed.

It has a great outdoor space for the dogs, but there was lots of poop on the ground and not cleaned up. The room was bright with the sun coming in. We were in an adjoining room with our neighbours arriving later in the evening and being very loud. The door between the rooms did not go to the floor so we got the light from the other room coming into our room. The water was a little warm to cold as you took a shower. There was only one table in the diningroom to accommodate more than two people with this being taken up by two people. The coffee maker in the room did not work. Breakfast was dismal, especially the yogurt which froze in the fridge. They did have applesauce and drinkable yogurts for young children. Lots of empty alcohol bottles around the property.

Convenient location, very friendly staff (especially Daniel who managed the breakfast area) & managed through some really challenging weather while we were there. Just what we needed while visiting family in the area.

We enjoyed our stay. More importantly, though, the kids loved the breakfast!

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. For the price it was EXCELLENT. That being said, it was not a 3.0 star hotel. The hot breakfast was powered eggs and cold biscuits with warm gravy. yikes. I did not try the waffle iron. The only pool was an outdoor one, disappointing for the area, as the building is surrounded by parking lot so going swimming in the parking seemed, yikes. The hotel lobby was nice. The Bed and TV were excellent. The Service was unbeatable. Having a recliner in the room was neat but it looked like someone had stained it by sitting in it to eat. At least that is what I am forcing myself to believe the stain was. Yike. The bathroom is in need of renovation. There was some "water damage" to the wall and floor. The lights and fridge buzzed loudly, but I was able to ignore it for the most part. As I wrote, for the Cost- most of the above are not complaints- just things that make it more of a 2.5 rate hotel with a 2 star price. I would stay there again, as long as it was summer and the children were not with me (they want a pool).
