Cobblestone Hotel & Suites - Newton

Everything was great, except for the general attitude of the desk person on the second morning. They were out of usable waffle mix (what they had was too watery, and wouldn’t puff up). The family next to us in the dining area asked if they were going to bring out more, and the desk person said, “I guess people can’t just eat it. It’s got to look good too!” It seemed that he felt “put out” by their request for usable batter. I used to be in hotel management, and this response was not only off putting, it left us with a blemished memory of our hotel experience. I’m certain that it did the same for the guests to whom the remark was directed.

Prepare yourself. There is no elevator at this property. when we got up to our room on the second floor, it smelled a cigarette smoke very badly and no discount was offered and we had our children with us.. There is a really cool casino type thing but the people that were around the hotel were kind of scary looking.

Was harassed by drunk people at the bar. The general manager Marc. Threatened to call police over service animals, demanded copies of my medical documents, the "general manager" induced a nonepileptic seizure and blamed his horrific attitude on a "bad day" were all smiles at first but then everything changed and they became hostile. If you are disabled do not stay here. If you have service animals do not stay here. The broke federal law asking for copies of my service animal paperwork. Front desk threatened to call police on my children for staying there as well. We are demanding a FULL refund on our stay after the abuse we endured by this property.
