Hyatt Place Champaign-Urbana

We love the room layout with a sectional at one end so one person can watch tv while the other rests. We stay here a few times a year to visit family. Loved the access to the lounge next door. The breakfast buffet is very good. Our favorite gravy for the biscuits!

I needed lodging in downtown Champaign so I could get around easilywhile on a visit to see family and this was perfect.

Let me tell you about Linda. I called the property after leaving because I’d left a pillow and two baby blankets. Linda SAVED ME. What a gem. During our stay, we had someone help us with the tv. It was quiet, clean, and everyone was so supportive. amazing.

Clean, friendly hotel--convenient to our family in Champaign. We will always stay here when we visit.

We were in town for family and decided to try out the Hyatt to treat ourselves. We had stayed at a different, similar-rated hotel a few months prior and chose the Hyatt because we heard it was luxurious, had a great breakfast, and we knew it was in a great location. We loved the location (walking distance to MANY restaurants, bars, and cafes), and the room was definitely comfortable. It lacked a little of the luxury we thought we would find there. There was nothing hugely wrong, but little details like the lack of lotions in the bathroom (available upon request) and the lack of room service (you have to go down to get food) made it feel like costs were cut on hospitality we thought we were paying for. The breakfast was a good version of standard hotel breakfasts (oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, pre-made breakfast sandwiches, fruit), and we especially appreciated the service experienced in that meal. Even though it was self-serve, the workers were so attentive and welcoming that we felt very well taken care of! The biggest damper on our stay here was the housekeeping service. Checkout was at noon, but housekeeping knocked on our door at 9am, 9:30am, and 11am. It made us feel like we were being rushed out of the room and made it hard to enjoy the morning there. All in all, a good hotel and a good location. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again, though we might consider another place first.

Nice room and friendly staff. Indoor pool was closed which we didn’t know until our kids were in swimsuits and ready to take a dip. It’s not noted anywhere that the pool is closed and no one told us upon checking in. Unfortunately for us, we had 3 very disappointed kids since the pool was one of the reasons we booked this hotel.
