Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Champaign North, IL

After check in which went great i made it up to my room with luggage and the family in tow. The room key would not work nd this is a highly inconvenient time to leave the family and go back downstairs to get the key redone. It worked the second time. There are some fixtures light towel holders and toilet paper holders that are loose in the bathroom and also we had a lamp not work in our room that needed a new bulb. The breakfast was good and the staff was really friendly and responsive.

Convenient location, but room rate was ridiculously overpriced for the condition of the room. There were stains on the furniture and the bed was very old and worn out. However, the staff was friendly and it was nice they served breakfast early for the kids going to the science competition.

Checkin was very easy. They had dinner right off of the lobby which was wonderful after a full day of driving. I had just been notified of the death of my mother, Pierre (the person at the dinner) noticed i was upset. Asked in concern if I was ok. Offered to talk, then asked if he could pray for me and my family. He was so very kind. Your staff went above and beyond and truly cares about their travellers!!

The staff was great, literally every single one of them! The issues I had a problem with are more safety related, as I was traveling with very young kids and a very old parent. The pool area was super slippery, they should have better flooring, and the room tub was super slippery, both very dangerous! Other than that, the staff was great and did a wonderful job of welcoming us/treating us like family.

My stay was great! The breakfast was a little bland. I stayed at this same hotel in Madison WI which was pet friendly but I couldn’t understand why this location was not it was a bummer that I had to make other arrangements for my furry babies.

There was so much chaos when we returned to the hotel after our concert. There was a portable fire pit with a blazing fire in the parking lot which I am sure is a violation of city codes. There were young children running through the hallway unattended by parents. This was after 10 p.m. There was continued noise of foot traffic (stomping) in the room above us past 2 a.m. even after two phone calls to the desk to please stop the noise. We will never stay there again and will never suggest that anyone ever stay in this Radisson hotel.

When we first walked into the room, it looked like a child had made the beds, everything was crumpled and messy. There were no room-darkening curtains and the parking lot lights were shining straight into my room through the white sheers all night long. The sensor-controlled bathroom light/fan went on every time I went to the bathroom in the night, waking my daughter. When I was in the shower, the light automatically shut off after ten minutes, so I was soaking wet in pitch darkness in a slippery bathtub. That was not only scary but dangerous as well. The sink stopper was wrong for that sink and didn't allow water to flow into the drain unless you completely removed it, which could allow small items to fall down the drain. There looked to be paint oozing out of the electric outlet in the bathroom. You could not plug anything into it. There was only one ice machine in the whole building, and it was two floors away from my room. I'm just thankful I was only there for one night. I will not be using this hotel again.

This is an Expedia problem but I booked a room that the hotel did not have an occupancy for. As a result, I rolled into town late at night with my family only to be turned away. Very disappointing from an Expedia perspective.

I was woken up about midnight..by a telephone call and then a knock at my door from desk worker accusing me and harrasing of smoking cigarettes in my room (let alone i had my young kids with me)....i absolutely was not smoking in my room....meanwhile the entire hotel wreaked of marijuana..(not that it bothered me)...but i was clearly harrassed with zero evidence and completely false allegation.when it was clearly they had accused the wrong room. I paid $224/night for a suite that had paint chipping off the walls, wall panelling peeling off in bathroom, stained carpeting and bedding,dead bugs were evident....after pulling out the couch away from the wall.. Horrible hotel condition not to mention all the crack and meth heads out at night looking in peoples cars and dumpster diving in the parking lot... Even TRIED to charge me an extra cleaning charge...with no evidence whatsoever... I wasnt even gonna make this review untill they actually tried charging me an extra cleaning fee....HORRIBLE HORRIBLE UNPROFESSIONALISM and no where near worth the price at this Hotel.... STAY AWAY!!!

Stayed one night for a family wedding, was just what we needed. Check in staff was wonderful, friendly, funny and at the top of their game. Parking was a little scarce, when we got back at 10pm. Not necessarily the hotels fault, several cars/trucks unnecessarily took up 2 spaces
