We stayed at the Polyneisian Residences for a week. The staff and service were the best parts. The rooms were okay but not roomy and not 4 star. (dated and dingy) The bathroom was nice and the desk area was good. The staff made the experience - friendly, helpful, sharing hometown suggestions and answered every need. You are close to everything - the beach, big shopping, etc. plus some amazing restaurants...thai noodle bowls, Japanese cuisine at Chibo and the Hard Rock Cafe for standard fare. It was worth it and my family are not snobs...wanting 1st class. We went everywhere and the staff was amazing at PR.

We arrived at the hotel at 11am and We had to wait 4 1/2 hours to check into our room and we watch other people walk up and check right into their room while we waited .. The property looked nice That’s it far as property go.. Room service was horrible they never clean our room and we had a four day stay. They never gave us clean towels, bathroom tissue. We had to go down to ask for everything. The employees was very rude and disrespectful. The air conditioner and the heater did not work. We went down to ask for them to fix it or switch his rooms. They ignored us. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone friends family or anyone I met on the street….

Staff are very nice. We have an infant with us and they were able to accommodate us with late check-out as our flight was late afternoon. Convenient location.

Staff very nice, typical room, hot plate and microwave handy..laundry one washer and dryer . Easy access both times we used. Pool way too cold …kids would be frozen ….we went only once. No one ever in the pool likely for same reason.

The Polynesian Residence of Waikiki is in a wonderful location right in the heart of all the action of Honolulu. The beach is a 10 minute walk and you are surrounded by shops and plenty of places to eat. The staff is excellent and treated us like family. We really enjoyed our stay!

The Polynesian Residences in Waikiki was a great stay for us. Staff were very courteous, and helped us check in a little earlier since our flight landed so early in the morning. There were 2 of us adults and 2 children under the age of 12. My personal favorites of the Polynesian Residences are the installed bidets that kept us all fresh in our bathroom, the most comforting A/C after being in the hot August heat and the convenience of the parking lot the hotel gives us access to, and the location of the property being in the middle of a very busy part of Waikiki.

This was a good spot for our family. I wasn't expecting the resort fee on arrival & was told it was mandatory so I did wonder about this. Why not just add it into the cost of the room instead of leaving a bad taste at the beginning of people's vacation? Overall though a good spot. There was a bit of road noise but this didn't bother us too much. Could do with more cooking utensils, only one pot to use in the kitchen so we didn't end up cooking in-house at all.

The family suite was very convenient and economical for our family of 6. Beds were comfortable, everything was clean. The only thing was the construction of the rooms looked thrown together with messy wallpaper, caulking, crooked corners, etc. These are things my husband notices, haha!

Location is great. The family studio has a good lay out but the sliding door didn't work well after a couple of hours. They were able to give us an opportunity for a late check out with a reasonable fee. Pool area and deck are not inviting.
