Holiday Inn Conference Center - Valdosta, an IHG Hotel

The room was very nice and clean. It was bad enough that there were kids banging on the door all night. My issue with my stay is the housekeepers. I don't understand housekeeping coming in the room every 30 minutes without our permission. I called the front desk and the woman who answered was very rude and told me that she didnt know why housekeeping continued to enter the room while we were still sleeping. If checkout is at 11, why was housekeeping entering the room at 8,9, & 10 am? Also, if your going to charge $200(after taxes) a night for a room, the least they could do is include breakfast. I was very unsatisfied with my stay here.

We, our whole dance team and family always stay here a couple of times a year for competition but never again. We booked a king size bedroom suite with two twin pull outs and they gave ours away. The guy that booked us ensured that we would be given a free night but he never kept his word. I even asked him and other front desk worked the update on the free night for Tue inconvenience and they kept say oh yes I am telling the gm. But every time I saw them they acted like they were writing the information down again to ask. Needless to say they didn’t give us a night for messing up the booking and giving our room away. We were going to use the night for a future booking but that’s ok. It seems they don’t need customers that bad if they treat us like this. This isn’t the first time there has been an issue but I’ve given them the benefit and not complained. We will be canceling the next competition bookings for this year and the following years and I will make sure the others in our company do the same. Sad because this used to be our favorite place 3-4 years ago. We have been coming for many years but no longer.

The hotel was nice. The people were nice. Georgia was nice. The hotel has a train track 100 yard outside the back door. Train whistles all night long. Are you kidding me? I think one of the engineers was playing Old MacDonald on the train horn at 7:30 a.m.. Nice hotel, but for ... a night I would expect to be able to get some sleep!

Hotel was very clean, staff was friendly, and I really enjoyed my stay. Was there on a family vacation really enjoyed stay.
