La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Perry

Overall subpar for the 9.2 rating they boast in the lobby. Arrived to a room that dmelled musty. We discovered the couch was covered in dog hair, our son is allergic to dogs. We called to have it vaccumed. They stated they didn't have the equipment to do it and had no lint rollers. Which means the couch has never been cleaned? We attempted to use the pool. It had obviously not been cleaned in a while and was full of bugs/debris/pollen. I was more than willing to skim the pool, but the only net was shredded. There were designated pool towels that were crusty. Back in our room we went to use towels and they were covered in various holes and spots. The hotel was full of dogs (we saw at leave 12 families with dogs) that barked throughout the night. The next morning breakfast opened 10 minutes late, which was already a later breakfast starting at 7am. Only positive was the nice staff and comfy bed.

Great location for what my family was doing. Room was very clean. We had our dogs with us and had zero issues with that. Plenty of grassy area for the dogs to do what they do. Only complaints I would have is, The ice machine was right outside our room and was very loud. And, Not the greatest water pressure in the shower. But I like a shower that will beat the dirt off.

This was going to be a ZERO star review. When we checked in we were told a pack’n play was not available and we would have to jump through the hoops of canceling through Expedia. We have a special needs child and the app stated cribs were available. After a few minutes the staff was able to get a crib for us and made the extra effort to turn a bad situation into something tolerable. The reason I am giving them 5 stars is because I believe they deserve credit for the extra effort they put forth. Thank you.

i stayed at the hotel and new i was coming back through the area and booked a room for our trip back!!! It was a good half-way point for our travels and dog friendly it was very clean. Hospitality was excellent and breakfast was hot waffles eggs grits....i will be booking this hotel again when i visit my family!!!!
