Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta McDonough

I love this property. Whenever I'm in town and family is out of town, I stay here. The property is always well kept and everyone is very friendly. It's convenient to all the shopping centers (Target, Belks, $Tree, Longhorn, Red Lobster, Wendy's, Chic Fil A. The room is always nice with a chic sofa and ottoman.The bathroom is cool, there's a divider to separate the toilet from the rest of the bathroom and they have shampoo, conditioner and body wash in case you forget. I love this place!

Local stay due to problem with HVAC at home. Had 3 grandkids withus and was expecting to swim but the pool was closed for some unexplained reason. The continental breakfast was subpar compared to stays at other establishments and the cleanliness had a lot to be desired especially thelobby area.

We were there for a wedding and needed to use the iron and ironing board for a few things. The ironing board was dirty and parts of it was pilling which left a slight imprint on some of our clothes. Also the pool was not open. The staff was very friendly but the computer system couldn’t take payments so anything we bought downstairs had to be charged to the room. I feel this is a sneaky way for room charges to rack up. The cafe they had was a little lacking. They had a very small selection to begin with but they were out of almost everything. They do serve Starbucks coffee but if you are picky about coffee like I am, I highly recommend the Starbucks at the other end of the parking lot that the hotel is located in vs the cafe area downstairs. It is a clean hotel but I would not recommend for families since there is no pool or play area for kids.

Room was very nice as was the hotel, loved the walk-in shower. Did not spend a lot of time at the hotel or in the room as we were visiting family in the area, but did enjoy my stay.

My only disappointment was that the pool was WAY too small and hot tub broken. Yes, these are minor but when you've been on road for 11 hrs with 2 kids under ten, the kids need to swim out some pent up energy & Mom needs a whirlpool soak! The hotel was clean, rooms were amazing & service exceptional!
