Marriott Macon City Center

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Macon. Thanks to all personnel that without knowing us made their part to make me and my family feel welcome it was one of the best hotel stays experienced. Gracias.

After a 3.5 hour drive to Macon, GA I was informed that the hotel had been overbooked and that I would have to stay at a less than desirable hotel for the night. This was after being called twice to confirm I was on the way. After talking with management, we were able to secure a room at the Hilton due to a last minute cancellation. Unfortunately, this was a very chaotic night for them due to thousands of kids occupying the hotel for the weekend. Overall, I understand that things happen but the staff did a great job ensuring that I was satisfied. Rating for Hotel facilities, conditions; room cleanliness; and room comfort would have been N/A but that option is not available.

We were without water for a while on 4/10. My family attended a funeral out of town and everyone needed to visit the bathroom upon return to the hotel but could only flush once because there was no water, Gross! My grandchildren attempted to purchase cokes. They were informed that the coke machine only took credit cards. My granddaughters were told that they could not pay cash, that the charges would have to be charged to the room. I found out at checkout that was not true. At a different time my grandson was told he had to charge his drink to the room. Though he came in with one coke he was charged for three. The desk clerk removed these charges from 1 of the rooms. But the same thing happened in our other room, he purchased 2 drinks, they were charged to the room. However, 3 cokes were charged to the room. Did the clerks have a coke on us? The hotel welcome book indicated that breakfast buffet was $6.00-$12.00, when we went down to the buffet, the buffet was 13.99. The desk clerks said they did not know anything about a $6.00 buffet. However, we went based on the welcome book in our r0om. I am a rewards member and this is how I was treated.
