Hotel Forty Five, Macon, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

What a beautiful hotel! And directly across the street from where the concert was! From the valet parking guys, to the gal who checked us in, everything was stellar! We found free parking on one side of the hotel but could have parked for free because we all look are handicapped and have a placard. Wasn't there long enough to visit "Loom" , their restaurant but it looked lovely! The bldg used to be a 🏦 & was renovated into a five ⭐ hotel. Beautifully decorated room, a SMEG refrigerator and a Keurig coffee maker with pods & everything. Gorgeous bathroom with amenities. Had to ask for additional face clothes because they only gave us one. They brought it up in less than 15 minutes! The bed? Slept like a baby! The pillows were like clouds. Plenty of USB ports, too. Macon was awesome, with plenty of love music bars & cool places to eat. Will definitely be back!!

This whole experience was awful!!! Valet didn’t have room to park our cars. We had to park on the street blocks away. The 4:00 check in was delayed until 5:48. Meanwhile my husband took the wrong elevator trying to find us and ended up on the floor where maintenance and housekeeping was located and about 6 hotel staff were sitting around smoking pot!! Very rude bartender while waiting on the room. Missed our dinner reservations because of delay. Went to shower before our event and NO hot water in any of the 3 rooms! Pubic hairs all over bathroom. Following morning still no hot water for a shower. Sent my husband to get some bottle waters and food since we basically didn’t get to eat or drink all night and he came back empty handed. Apparently the coffee shop was sold out of just about everything by 8am. It’s a shame that this beautiful hotel was managed so poorly! The saddest part was that I purchased 3 of these rooms as Christmas gifts for out of town family members.
