Great place to stay with your family and friends. Good location

This hotel was pretty much a great choice for my family's stay. I loved that the hotel has a fridge and microwave available in the room (most hotels are starting to get rid of these amenities). The room and bathroom was clean and appeared up to date. The frontdesk employees I interactes with during my stay were very pleasant. I would recommend this hotel to anybody.

We arrived to the hotel to learn it was under construction but were told our room was on recently renovated floor, so the noise shouldn’t be a problem. Room 314. Not only was it the first room off the elevator, but the ice machine, no kidding, directly across from our door in the hallway and the room is directly overtop of the portico over the entrance to the hotel. ( they must only give this room to those they don’t like). For a newly renovated room, 1) the toilet leaks heavily 2) the shower also leaks onto the floor (we took videos to show the front desk) 3) the barely repainted bathroom door had an upside down hook on it (can’t make this stuff up.) and the bottom of the door had buckling from obvious water damage (maybe the toilet and shower leaks?) upon our first days return to the room, we had received no housecleaning at all. Wet towels on floor still, bed unmade, nothing wiped down. When shared with front desk, the only response was “ok”. Upon further study of hotel up close, it’s absolutely filthy. The hall near elevator, the front desk area itself, and if you look up from the lobby, you can see all the finger and handprints reflected upstairs. It’s not nice. The “Renovated” room interior is cold , gray, and there’s no closet. Friends, if you must stay here, please don’t let them put you in 314. Oh and the free breakfast area was a bit scary. Front desk peeps were friendly enough, but I’m not sure anyone really cared or they would have wiped that area down.

The hotel is under Major renovations! Construction trash, debris, limited parking. I don’t know how many rooms they’re utilizing at the moment? We checked into a musty smelling room. Only double available! Maintenance was there quickly with Lysol. The carpet looked to be the original? Thank Hod I packed flip flops. No working ice machine in the building. The pool was unusable and should have been drained! The construction crews started early and worked through the Holiday weekend. Our 4th day there we missed numerous calls from the front desk. Only to find out there had been a leak above our room mainly the bathroom. We were told they would move us to another room and would adjust our rate for our troubles. After a day at Lake Lanier with our family we came back to room 121 to find our toiletries on the bath counter were wet. We were given keys to 105 for the remaining 3 nights. We were told by Jennifer at the front desk that our rate was being adjusted for our troubles and again apologized for the inconvenience. The new room had the same smell and the same carpeting? The beds & bathrooms were clean. The staff could not have been friendlier or nicer! Upon checking out, our rate had been adjusted from 129 to 109 for 2 nights! my makeup bag alone cost $40. Not knowing if this was a pipe, bathtub, or toilet overflow I trashed my wet things. Right down the street you have a Home2Suites also a Hilton hotel with a comparable if not 9.00 cheaper?! Not Hilton Happy 😏
