Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites PERRY, an IHG Hotel

Overall the stay was fine. Checking in was a challenge as the front desk employee was repairing an A/C unit(as she advised me). I waited(with 3 kids) at least 15-20 minutes for her to return to the desk. The other guest(in line before me) just wanted a towel since none were located in the workout room. She did not have the same patience as I and she stormed off as she was waiting for about 5-10 minutes prior to my arrival.

Stayed for 3 nights and was limited to 2 towels and one washcloth for a family of 3. Tried every day to get additional ones and was told they only had pool towels. Other guests came to the front desk while i was there trying to get some for their families with no luck.

Staff is friendly, breakfast was pretty good. But overall im disappointed. When my husband and i and our two kids arrived after being on a long road trip i was looking forward to a warm soak in the "shower tub combo" only to find that there was only a shower. Further, only one towel. When i went down to the front desk, the nice lady at the desk informed me they were out of towels so she gave me tiny pool towels. Then we discovered there were no sheets blankets for the pullout couch bed. So back we went for linnens. The beds were lumpy and very uncomfortable:( In the morning i took a shower and used the last two squeezes of body wash that was bolted inside the shower stall. Pleasantly surprised by the product, i asked the front desk attendant if we could get it refilled since we would be staying another night. She informed me that maintenance would be in at 9AM and would refill all the bottles. Satisfied, i returned to my room. Later that morning when we left for the day, i noticed the cart of refill bottles down the hall and was actually looking forward to my evening shower. However, that night i went to use it and it was still empty! These are small things, I know, but are indicative of larger problems like unpreparedness and poor organization. My husband and I are extremely disappointed and expected a bit more from an IGH hotel. Not the Ritz Carelton, but certainly more than what we experienced...
