Such a beautiful stay! I had 2 small children with me, the walk to the beach was easy and we would come back and swim in either of the 2 pools. 1 block from Atlantic Ave so it was very convenient to shops and restaurants. Room was great, the kitchen was awesome to have to prepare breakfast and lunch. All items were included in the kitchen so all we had to do was food shop. The grounds were beautifully kept and we got some wonderful family photos. We had such a great time during our 8 day stay. The only thing I found halfway through our stay was someone was leaving the gate open every night, the staff leaves by 9 and then the gates should be locked. They give a code at check in to open it. I was very annoyed with that as anyone could just walk in at that point. That was my only complaint.

Deferred maintenance. The "Boutique Resort" shows its age. Peeling paint on stairs. Foil coming off kitchen cabinets, to show the particle board. Some furniture is beaten up with paint peeling. The chocolate on the nightstand was clearly nibbled on by bugs or vermins. Screaming children in both pools - why not have one family pool and one adult pool??? Tiki bar is closed (shortage of staff). No workout facility or gym.

The Crane Beach House Boutique Hotel was absolutely lovely. Wonderful & helpful staff, fantatic location, beautifully maintained and truly fantastic. I highly recommend without hesitation. Everything was perfect....clean, organized, nice space, location near all, resources made available for all your needs and helpful team. I would certainly stay here again and recommend to family, friends and co-workers. Can't say enough how magnificent this establishment is!

This place was paradise. It was our 30th wedding anniversary and we were greeted with a lovely note, wine, chocolates and early check-in. The staff was so friendly and warm. They treated us like family. The villa was immaculate and beautiful. This is a tropical oasis just one block from the beach and two blocks from Atlantic Avenue. We were so sad to leave but we are excited about returning soon. Absolutely perfect! We are fairly well traveled and this was one of the nicest places we stayed.

The paradise ambiance of the property in the middle of a busy touristy town is unexpected. It was home away from home for our family of 4.

Hey...if you like luxury...stay somewhere else. If you want to feel like you are on an island...away from everyone else..then stay at the Crane's BeachHouse & Tike bar. It's a secret hide-away. I would recommend it to my friends and family.

I LOVE this place and I'm definitely going back next year. Honestly I'm not a Florida fan, and I intended Crane's as just a base to visit family nearby. Now I look forward to going back next year and extending my stay to enjoy the place and Delray Beach a bit more.
Crane's is perfectly located: a block from the beach and half a block from Atlantic Avenue shops and restaurants, quiet and secluded, almost like a mini-resort. As I said, I was visiting people outside Delray, but for those just looking for a beach vacation, Crane's and Delray Beach makes it possible to visit Florida without renting a car, which is usually not the case.
The landscaping and design is a bit kitschy but not at all cheap or tacky; a fun, luxurious tropical paradise that makes it hard to leave. The staff was, to a person, fantastic -- helpful, pleasant and competent and never in the way. Our suite was super-comfortable and had everything we needed and nothing we didn't and made a great place to relax at night. Unusually quiet and private-feeling for a downtown hotel.
With all this, Crane's is an incredible bargain (by Florida-in-February standards). This place costs about the same as some of the chain hotels near the highway, and about 1/3 of the two places up the block that are no closer to the ocean. The only thing Crane's lacks that these places have is room service and other luxury perks. But there are so many good restaurants in Delray, many open late, that this is a minor point.
