Holiday Inn Express & Suites Miami Airport East, an IHG Hotel

We stayed here while waiting for a connecting flight. We only had about 5 hours to sleep, but the beds were incredibly comfortable and the bath products provided were amazing. We were unable to use the airport shuttle due to arriving too late and departing too early, and we had to leave too early to enjoy the free breakfast, but it was the most comfortable and quiet place we stayed in our 10 night family vacation.

Spacious rooms, we could've fit a family of 6 or 7 in there. Very clean. Only downside is there isn't much food around and the menu in the room was the only real food option. If you're from NY PA or NJ don't order the pizza... you'll be highly disappointed. Shuttle was very convenient to the airport.

I requested a shuttle to pick me up at around 9:50 pm with the only guy that was working the front desk.i call the number that he provided me 1-786-878-5555 and told him that i was on the 4th floor exit 7 ..he said ok and we hung up.. I call back at 10:50 pm. He put me on hold three time and came back and told me to get a uber or lift they would reimbursed me..I told him there was no way i was going to pay & trust him to pay me back. I told him that i want corparate number when i get back. Soo i walk on the dark side streets for 7-10 mins to get the hotel.. As i was walking the guy that i was speaking too drove rite pass me and as i got closer the shuttle came in the drive & drop the two people off that was on the 4thbfloor with me.. but he told me that the driver didnt see me even after i described what i had on.. i ask the new guy for corporate number & he gave me the number to him at the front drnk & ask for the last guy first name only and he stated he doesn't know his coworker name that works the front desk as he is currently doing tonight. This place is full of it..i will never stay here again!! My safe is priority & they have kids playing games alllllll day long at the front desk.. I witness at least 4 people having problem with them today!

very close to miami airport. very good for families and intransit and layover travel.

The airport shuttle needs to be called it doesn’t just circle like the other ones. We waited over 20min for it. Once we arrived at hotel with about 5 other groups, it took us almost an hour to check us in and we were the third group back. Upon entering our room, the shower barely turned on but was unable to turn it off. Maintenance came to fix it but just jimmy rigged it, it’s still broken… he also didn’t speak any English so communication was a struggle. Shuttle to the airport does not operate until 3pm!! Maintenance man was accused of making girls and kids feel uncomfortable at the pool while we were waiting in line to check in… it was just an overall chaotic experience. The room was clean.

The hotel is new and clean and has nice amenities. We liked it and stayed here twice with our kids. However, be warned the shuttle is not really functional. It only comes once an hour in the evening (so we ended up standing out in the heat for 45 min) and there is no shuttle in the morning. Breakfast is great, but it's all styrofoam and plastic so lots of waste. Kids loved the view of the airport and there wasn't much noise from the planes in the room.

Happy with our room! We got upped to a suite for a family of 4 with 2 teen boys! That’s awesome!

It was absolutely terrible all the staff was rude and every time you asked a question they would say “no English “ and walk away! There was kids yelling and screaming throughout the hotel for hours. It was a complete nightmare.

The location is very clean and the structure is new. My family and I enjoyed our stay and the staff is very nice too.
