I took my kids to Miami for Mother’s Day weekend. Originally booked a 2 bedroom somewhere else to accommodate the 4 of us and ended being a disaster upon arriving that night. The next morning we hopped on hotels.com and did a last minute booking of the Balfour Hotel, what a breath of fresh air when we arrived to check in!!! Such a cute little hotel! Staff was friendly, room was nicely equipped and designed. Hotel was within a couple blocks walk from the beach and they provided beach towels and chairs/umbrella for their guests. The restaurant in the lobby was a great little convenience to have as well with great food! Balfour gave us the opportunity to enjoy the rest of our trip and leave with good memories, Will be sure to stay there again next time

A very nice hotel on the quiet side of the beach. My only complaints is that everything is small. We had two queens which were fine, but the room was small enough that it required standing aside, so someone could walk by. The pool was laughably small. Finally, even though we were obviously a family of four the hotel only reserved one umbrella and two chairs on the beach for us, as well as giving two towels by default. We would get four towels uopn asking, but you would think that when you see four people standing there, don't give them only two towels.

Very cute little hotel. Staff was friendly. Only problem was we are a family of 4 with 2 kids. We got to the hotel to check in to find out there was ac problems so our 2 queen room wasn’t available. They said they gave us to joined king rooms instead. This sounded just fine to us til we got to our rooms and realized they really aren’t “joined” and were on opposite sides of the floor. So either we leave our 10 and 14 year old in a room by themselves in Miami or we each take a kid and sleep in different rooms….on our anniversary. Happy anniversary… ended up each taking a kid and slept in opposite rooms. This would have been a great set up for like 2 adult couples. Not a family with kids.

We had a very nice stay. All the staff were incredibly helpful and very nice. I loved that it is a historic building. It has been nicely updated. The beds were so comfy and it sits the perfect amount away from the South Beach party but close enough if you want to join in. It feels very neighborly and is just about a block from the beach where chairs and umbrellas were are also provided free of charge. My only complaint would be the size of the rooms/bathroom. It was pretty tight quarters for my family of 4. Other than that my stay was wonderful.

The Balfour was just perfect! Their staff, the location and the amenities were off the charts. From check-in to check-out our stay was wonderful. We utilized the bikes, beach towels, beach chairs and pool pretty much everyday. We were also able to walk to just about everywhere from the Balfour. But most importantly the staff went above and beyond daily and treated us like family. On one of our evenings out we came back to a beautiful fruit tray and sparkling water as a gesture for just staying with them and the Balfour team was always willing to give us an idea or two of things to do. We are already planning another vacation at the Balfour! Miami was so much fun but the Balfour made our stay so much better!!!

This was my first time staying at The Balfour and I will definitely stay there again. My room was clean and well maintained by the housekeeping staff, the air conditioning kept my room comfortable and I barely heard any noise coming from any of the other rooms next to mine. The entire staff was friendly, the amenities were great and the walking distance to the beach and the famed ocean drive was very short. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to all of my friends and family.
