Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge

I was overwhelmed by the abundance and variety of animals we saw throughout our 2 day stay, but was very underwhelmed by the food choices both at the resort - especially at the pool. When I go to a resort and spend the kind of money I spent for my room I expect snacks/lunch by the pool and cocktails served to me. You shouldn't have to dress, pool your kids from the pool (single parent) to walk all the way up to the restaurant to get a grab and go meal. Why isn't food and beverage (at Disney's already exorbitant prices) delivered to your lounge chair? Moreover, when we checked in @ 2pm only one of the several restaurants were even open. We opted to take the Disney Shuttle to Disney Springs for more options. ****Please note that because of the animal's proximity to the Disney fireworks this resort is 15- 20 minutes by Disney bus to MK, Epcot, Disney Springs etc. so prepare accordingly.

We had a Savannah view room and it was beautiful. Great experience for the kids and adults to see animals out of the balcony!

it was magical! the hotel is very beautiful, everything is clean, the view of the savannah is generally fabulous. My family will be back for sure! I recommend! The best hotel

The check in took 3 hours…they booked us in wrong rooms.. our keys didn’t work…Magic bands didn’t work for 2 days. The lobby was underwhelming for Disney….we know the Animals are the big deal but we got there late evening. Rooms very tiny. Beds very hard and uncomfortable. No bed options for young children…they brought bed rails to keep our 2 yr old from falling off bed-but they were broken. I’ve never seen a mini frig that small…several things we bought spoiled. Very limited food options. We did see a lot of animals and the pool was good. We won’t stay here again💔

Looks like old property. Very spread out with few elevators. Animal sights ideal for smaller kids. Limited dining options (reservations required much in advance). Transportation etc are good

So many computer system glitches on the part of the hotel/Disney. Too many to even list. Very frustrating. For us, the magic is gone after so many wonderful years going to Disneyland/world. Will never return again unless things change. Never, ever thought I would feel this way. Our whole family is all about Disney. We spent thousands on a trip we will always regret.

Unique hotel. Great view of safari animals. Having breakfast on the balcony watching giraffe was a real treat. Hotel is great. Pools good. Enjoyed the campfire and roasting marshmallows with the kids. Food not good. Few healthy or vegetarian options for adults and none for kids. Disapponting. Best food was in victoria falls bar.

Great place for a family with kids. So many things to keep the kids busy from: game room, to kids clubhouse, to the pool and lets not forget the animals at Animal Kingdom Lodge. We will definitely go back, hopefully we can get something better than a basic second floor room.

This hotel has a ton of activities to do for the kids and adults. It’s beautiful with all the animals, while all staff members were very helpful and went above and beyond expectations.
