Silver Lake Resort

We went to check in and our room was not ready. They said they would contact me when it was ready. I took my family to the pool ans awaited them to contact me. After a few hours i went to the room and it was ready. In the morning i was awoken by someone opening our door as they had been assigned the same room. The actual villa was very big and accomodating.

This property was Great. The villa was clean and Nice size for me and my family. The Kids really enjoyed the pool and all the activities that are played on the weekend with the staff. Would definitely recommend

My family has been coming here for years , several times a year . We live in Orlando so we enjoyed a close get away. The units are in desperate need of a make over . Dirty grout, stained ceilings from water damage, stale odors when you walk in, etc. To make it worse the clientele of this resort has changed dramatically. Gone are the days of class and dignity in the common areas of the pool etc. No more family friendly activities and appropriate music for everyone to enjoy. They advertise karaoke on Friday nights but you actually get abnormally loud Spanish music courtesy of a DJ that barely speaks English. The sides of the pool are littered with empty beer bottles and cigarette butts. Random hair balls floating in the pool from cheap synthetic wigs and extensions being worn. The women are wearing suits that are too small, the men are noticeably intoxicated and both are exhibiting behavior inappropriate infront of minors. It seems capital vacations either honors Groupon for online bookings or Section 8 vouchers , because that’s the clientele they’re attracting . Spirit Airlines could easily have a direct connect from the airport to Silver Lake Resort because there is no limit or boundaries to whom they’ll do business with. I felt sorry for the quiet and modestly dressed seniors and out of state travelers that came with their children to enjoy a peaceful atmosphere. They were met with sloppy behaved and slovenly dressed people, drinking-twerking and shouting. Trash!

So this property is very outdated to start with, they also immediately push the timeshare scam. The resort does offer fun stuff but then to even use the basket ball court or any amenities you must “rent” the balls to use then and play ect… also, We found a few bugs in our bed we were worried it was bed bugs and called the front desk their answer was someone can come spray it?!?! Not move us rooms or anything…and it was the bed my kids eere in so they were supposed to sleep on chemicals same day? I’d never even heard of this option before (it’s never happened to me before at a place tho either) The response was terrible and then they never even came to the room either and then lied to us about it after the fact when I called to see what happened. The rooms are old, outdated, spacious yes, seemed subpar cleanliness at best and windows are full of algae so you can barely see out of them. For the most part most of the staff was nice especially the security team. I was refunded PART of the ridiculous $100 in taxes and resort fees. But only after going to the front desk on checkout and having to ask about it only then was I given a small fee return. Overall 6/10.

Clean and great for the kids

Great Place for kids. Have activities “ game room, movie theater, basketball court, tennis court. Me and my kids loved it. Staff is also friend & nice.

This room was much larger than I anticipated. It was nice overall. The only complaint was a saw at least one full sized cockroach in my living area and two baby roaches in the master bathroom. I think a little more exterminator service would solve this. The room was very clean and I was happy with it. I would stay here again.

We loved how close this was to all our vacation destinations and the price! The property has security at both gates (felt very safe), and the pool area was very nice. Our Villa room was lovely; we loved having the separate bedroom, adjoining bathroom, and living, dining, and full kitchen with laundry. The only items to note: the kitchen does come fully stocked - our only complaints were the lack of bedding (we had a sheet and thin duvet (they have the "mock blanket" at end of bed that is just a strip of material), cutting knives were very dull & we could've used some tongs and a spatula but made do. The other item that we didn't know was housekeeping does not come until after you checked out. Our kitchen trash was overflowing due to all the cooking we did onsite and length of stay. We also, unfortunately, had some fairly rowdy & loud neighbors (would come back to room close to midnight literally talking full volume with screaming kids). Don't know if we can attribute to thin walls or just extra-loud Disney-psyched families. Overall, we were pleased with our stay and would come here again! It was so conveniently located and had all the items we needed in a room with a reasonable pricepoint!

Property doesn’t look like the pictures that’s advertised at all. My unit was 724 in the 700 building. I had hair in both bath rooms. Ants in kitchen. Very old and mildue smelly unit. Me and my family was very uncomfortable with this unit. Staff at front desk wasn’t helpful at all. I recommend no one to stay here.

What we disliked the most was not being informed about it being a time share ..we arrived at 330 to check in. All was good friendly staff eager to help. Check in time was 400. No room ???? The desk clerk did react. We had a sick child. Finally got in the room. We had to go to the gauntlet to get our parking pass. Well time shareworking got my debit card info and questions about a credit card to show at a breakfast I didn't want to go to and felt pushed and forced 10 minutes before the breakfast time 845 am they called my room and texted me. Obviously IM NOT INTERESTED KEEP THE 20 BUCKS .bunch of crap
