Everything was great! Perfect location. The only suggestion I would make would be to do more with the large iguana problem. I was too terrified to lay by the pool as many others were. Staff said they are friendly and swim! But a 1-2’ iguana can be terrifying to guests and small children.

This was the perfect place to spend an alone weekend for my husband and I. We wanted a quiet weekend away from our kids to relax and recharge. And Pier House was just that. We stayed in the oceanfront suite which we absolutely loved. The view was breathtaking. The restaurant, bar, pool and beach were only steps away from us. The sunset view from our balcony was as absolutely stunning. Waking up to the sounds of the ocean as we enjoyed our coffee, was so delightful. We highly recommend this resort. Looking forward to coming back again soon.

Overall not the greatest experience for what you pay. The main pro to this property is you are right downtown and can walk to most places. The rooms are outdated, uncomfortable beds, t.v. system is terrible, you can't connect to YouTube or Netflix to watch current shows or movies. The workers are rude and treated our family like we were a bother since we had kids. Unfortunate experience. Won't be back.

I booked 3 nights, but stayed only one. The hotel advertises elevator and ceiling fan in all rooms. The room I booked apparently was in the building with no elevator. They switched my room to elevator building for additional $280.90/ night. The new room had no ceiling fan and the side wall of the balcony cracked through so I was afraid to use the balcony. Most beautiful exterior pictures of the rooms on Expedia website are from One Duval building that was not even an option to book. The hotel advertises COVID rules and regulations, cleanliness standards, however hot tub was filthy dirty, the little swimming pool was overcrowded and dirty as well, the sand on the beach had a lot of dirt and waste. There was also non-pleasant old smell in the room. I also had a family health emergency in addition to everything and had to leave either way. The hotel staff promised to return the remaining 2 nights to us, but when Expedia contacted them they refused.

Our family of three stayed in a lovely suite in the Spa building. Although no view of the water, the room was spacious, well deocrated, the beds - even the pullout - were comfortable, and the bathroom was huge. We loved this resort - having a private beach was great and we enjoyed the musicians playing each day at the beach bar while we were laying in the sun. The view is great watching the boats go by. The food and drinks from the beach bar were very good (lobster sliders, fish tacos, and of course frozen key lime coladas!). We could walk everywhere, so there is no need for a rental car for the whole week. (The cost of UBER from the airport is about $25.) Loved being a 5 minute walk to the seaport (we recommend Sebago sunset cruise), Mallory Square, restaurants and shopping. We also enjoyed the Hemingway rum distillery tour nearby. We will definitely return!!

We stayed for a family trip. We stayed in the 500 building and it’s nasty. It’s old. The door didn’t close all the way- could see light under and on the side of the front door, the room was musty, the linens were damp feeling, the floors were dirty and the bath room was disgusting. Black hair was in the tub, and I have blonde hair. It’s like they did lipstick on a pig. The rooms above dragged their chairs across the floor and it was soo loud!! They invested in landscaping, the Tiki bar and the amenities- not the rooms. Food was ok- service - average. Great sunrise- but for the price- never again.

My family and I had a great stay at the resort. It has a private beach and a small pool that was a favourite of my sons. The location is excellent and the food from the beach bar is very good. We experienced excellent service from Linda and Beck in particular - they were very friendly and super helpful. We had a great time. That said, I found the front desk staff to be less friendly and helpful than the other staff at the resort. The resort also has what I found to be a strange approach to billing - they added a variety of charges during my stay that rounded up my room charges each day, resulting in an overcharge of roughly $100 on the day of checkout. I haven’t had the balance refunded 36 hours later…We would otherwise recommend the resort though and would seriously consider another stay

Location is great but it’s too overpriced for it’s worth and services offered. Exorbitant resort fee and additional charges but no services to match it. The beach they talk about is the biggest disappointment. There is hardly 20 feet in the name of beach which keeps getting seaweed and 80% of sand is occupied by permanent beach loungers. There in house restaurant is too expensive even for the other outside expensive places to eat. We requested a microwave in room by adding comments while making reservation. We did get reply they it’ll cost us extra but was not there in room when we arrived. So we promptly mentioned it and requested again. Again we were told there will be extra charges to which we agreed but it was never provided to us. If you are going to stay here with kids, I would not recommend it.
